since the latest come up of the Brazilian Method the most Wii U owners use their USB drive for Wii U games. Wii U and the vWii can't use the same HDD and it is not possible to use 2 HDDs simultaneous, so you would have to reconnect the drives manually if you still want to use USB Loader GX for Wii backups.
There are also Wiiflow and the Cfg Loader, which can load Wii backups from the SDcard, instead of an USB drive, but they aren't in active development and they don't match the Wii menu design. I tested them, and both have issues, when a Wii U USB drive is connected.
So is there any interest by an developer to fork USB Loader GX and strip out all USB and Wii-only related features and add wbfs loading from SDcard instead?
I know there are some problematic games, which won't work without issues from the SDcard, but I think that it would be nice to have an all-in-one solution without switching loaders and USB drives.
