Hey everyone,

Just wondering how much this is actually worth for its condition. A guy is locally selling a Sega Genesis V2 (PAL), Sega Genesis CD attachment (PAL) & a 32x attachment (NTFC) for $230USD.

So my question is, is that a good deal or am I getting ripped off? It comes with all cables, controllers + RF shield/plate for the 32x.

Thanks

Prob worth 125$-160$ they are many console everywhere so the price cannot be that high unless the guy is high Just deal with him and check if they are in good condition that the best thing you can do!

P.s do he have box or he have nothing???

No boxes, he just refurbished them apparently and comes with 2 year warranty...

He won't budge, tried to get him down $50 and he said its firm. Just can't find any other sega's in Australia (PAL) with CD for anything under $250USD.

Well buy them , i know you get ripped for like 60-80 $ but the guy want to make money i understand that! and if it got 2 years warranty i hope it is not a scam!

Ask him this : How you will replace something rare with a 2 years warranty?

Yer it's selling from a bad area, so I'm wouldn't count on the 2 year warranty (the guy will probably move next week, my guess it anyway).

Would you know anywhere else to buy them cheaper, as for my budget it's pushing it to the edge for a sega?

:rofl2:

Tried ebay, nothing great there. But might actually ring up a couple of local retro stores and see if they got anything (didn't think about that) :)

Thanks for the help.

Hmm shops also seem to have the same prices if not more over here in Australia ($300).

I guess its just a waiting game then, one will pop up when you least expect it for a good price (even if its just part by part).

You dont think ebay would be a better buy?

I never got scammed on ebay but i also never bought anything over 500 from there.

Edit:
Nvm already been mentioned

Gamestop sells retro systems i think a sega is like 60 bucks then you can search online for the cd attachment

Ended up getting a Sega Genesis V2 for $50 + Shipping with 2 controllers and cables (looks brand new) on ebay.

I think I got a better deal by waiting, now for the other parts :)
