If you have a9lh installed then just update. If you can't reach homemenu restore your nandmin.bin (or any nand backup) with hourglass9.

If you are installing a9lh take out sd card then reboot 3ds and insert sd back after homemenu appears

Just curious, I am still thinking about installing A9LH, but I just wanted to get 1 thing clarified: does ANY nand backup work (one from before A9LH was installed?) I heard using a nand backup from before A9LH was installed would get rid of it.

No I still need to finish all the stuff after configuring luma, I still haven't installed it 100%
After configuring luma your done.

Turn on your 3ds and hold select. A config will come up
  • “Autoboot SysNAND”
  • “Use SysNAND FIRM if booting with R (A9LH)”
  • “Show NAND or user string in System Settings”

If you use hourglass9 (Will be installed in the guide) it won't be lost. If you used an outdated nand backup software like rxtools or gateway you can't use it. You will make a pre a9lh nand backup. https://plailect.github.io/Guide/

Wait that's it!
That is all. After configing luma3ds your done. You have a9lh and you can do whatever you want.
