ROM Hack How to use a seed with FBI?

So someone "leaked" a seed for Pokémon Sun on that ISO Site (100% sure it´s fake) but it seems that no one tried to verify that it is fake, so I´ve read that It mus be a .dat file or somethig like that so is here any "seed file Generator" or something, so that I can finally verify that it isn´t the real seed?

Grab a hex editor, paste the seed into it, save the file as TitleID.dat, but replacing Title ID with the game's actual Title ID. Make a folder on the root of your SD card called fbi, make a folder inside that folder called seed, then place that .dat file in the seed folder.

Open FBI, go to Titles, find the Title you want to import the seed for, hit A on the title name, go to Import Seed, then press or hit Yes (A) to import the seed from your SD card. If you don't have the .dat inside of the seed folder, FBI will get the seed from the eShop.

if you don't have eshop access, get it, since it's possible

well actually I am always getting the retail cardridge of a Pokéon game, this is just for fun, I know that the seed is faked but maybe somone who got it early will dump his cardridge and upload it to that Iso site

yes but the seed is from digital game only, so it is not connected to the physical game

3DS shares AUS and EUR eshop,
so switch your region to AUS, and access eshop, should be able to play it then.

When the seed gets released in Japan/AU you'll need to follow my instructions that I posted earlier in this thread. Or try what Queno138 said.

3DS shares AUS and EUR eshop,
so switch your region to AUS, and access eshop, should be able to play it then.

i don't think you can change your country anymore, maybe since 1 or 2 years ago...?
maybe you still can, but anyway, if you DO, you lose your balance if you have any, so not a good idea

The Sun & Moon demo required me to have a NNID to download it from eShop. Did you use FreeShop?

I'm not using freeshop; maybe I'm simply mistaken.

Hello, i'm just an average person who has no idea about hex editing, what program to use and whatnot, the only reason I am showing an interest now is because I live in europe and I do not want to be forced to wait 5 days to play the sun/moon whenever my friends in america are able to on the 18th.

I'm told that the seed for the game will be the same regardless of if it is American / European and I know you explained it but would you be able to make a full idiots step by step guide for how someone could import the seed from the american version to the european version for their pokemon game to work and which program you recommend?

questions I have from what you mentioned are:

• Where would I find the seed when it is made available?
• what is the "root" of the CD card?
