So actually we all know the preload is NOT PLAYABLE WITHOUT THE SEED (in caps for those who think it is playable) so but in Theory someone who got the Retail Cardridge Early from whatever, well his store who got it 3 weeks before release or someone in a partnership with nintendo who got it early to let´s Play it, could actually dump the cardridge and convert it Into .cia Format and upload it to that ISO site.

Well I guess that won´t happen BUT theoratically (sry now I have no clue how to spell this) it would be possible, Let´s discuss

There's honestly not much to discuss here. It'd work, and it'd probably happen since, from what I've heard, X/Y and OR/AS were also leaked some time before release.
well actually you CAN talk about this and also hey, I´m bored and I wan´t tp discuss something

What's the point of discussing this? It'd be interesting if this was months ahead of the release, but there's only 16 days left (it'd make sense if Europeans discussed this only since they're shafted with a 5 day wait). If anything there will be a day 1 rom dump, everyone with hacked consoles and access to Decrypt9 can dump their retail carts, share it wherever.

It's hardly unfair. If I were in Nintendo's position, I wouldn't want people playing the game before release, either.

EDIT: Now that I've seen RustInPeace's post, I see that you mean it's unfair that they're releasing SuMo so late in Europe, and THAT I agree on.

I won't disagree with that, despite the obnoxious all caps crap, I get that point. Even so, it's not that long, time flies. If it's too much and there isn't an early leak of the game (I doubt that will happen), you can at least scour for a US rom dump.

What's with all the fighting? New games suck anyways, did you guys play the demo? Like WTF... I've also heard that they didn't like it very well over at japan...

You're pretty much brewing another fight by bringing up this topic. I didn't mind the demo, most of the times they don't fully indicate what a game's quality will be. So it sucking or not doesn't really impact my hype for the full games.

Why can't seeds be generated or brute forced? Can we even open the preload to peek at the files inside?

We would probably need servers the size of China in order to bruteforce 128-bit encryption.

Edit: I might be exaggerating about the servers size.

Of course we can generate as many seeds as we like, but only one seed out of the 10^40 or so possible combinations of bits will actually decrypt the thing.
Of course we can try to brute force it, but even if every single computer dedicated all its resources to doing so, the sun would have consumed the earth a billion times over before we're done with half the possible seeds.
Of course we can read the file's contents, which other than title name, icon, and some other useless stuff contains nothing but encrypted data that will just look like garbage in a hex editor.
If it really was that simple, don't you think someone would've done it by now?

generating a seed would be like generating lotto numbers; sure, it's possible, but you are stabbing in the dark. Or opening pokémon TCG base set boosters, hoping for Charizard.

Brute forcing would take longer to do than release the game, longer than hoping for a leak, longer than brute forcing the not-yet-released NX. In other words, you need a hyperbolic time chamber or a way to go to a different digi-mension where a whole first season would equate to fifteen-minutes real-world time

And make sure you don't destroy the hyperbolic time chamber while you're inside, or else you'd be trapped forever. On the other option, to summarize that, you need a DBZ Kai.

well I just want to see some theories and stuff and some votes up there so let´s see what will happen in this thread
it's not really a theory. if someone dumps the cart and shares it, we can play it. but i understand that people love to talk about this

heh, i really don't understand how we got unfinished games that never get out of alpha or beta selling on steam. but finished games recorded on cartridges must be only sold at that specific day...
the moment a shop has in stock and catalogued\did the bureaucracy they should be able to start selling it and not waiting for a specific date...

what is nintendo doing? trying to prevent a shortage?
maybe in the past there were several people who bought loads of copies preventing others from buying it and they were distributing theese copies at an expesive price outisde of shops?

What about that guy who got that code from Nintendo, who made some Let's PLays of the new game... Couldn't he theoretically dump the seed?

Would you make a rom dump and risk ever getting anything from Nintendo again just so a bunch of people can pirate the game?

I certainly wouldn't.
