Hello everyone. I purchased a refurbished vita at the local gamestop today - turns out it is running 3.51 firmware. I have read a few tutorials here and at wololo, but I am still a bit confused. It looks like I have to use 3.55 or lower to backup and play PSP titles, but 3.60 or higher to backup and enjoy vita games. Additionally, it looks like vpks can be risky, which is worrisome. Any particular steps advised to go from 3.51 vita to wherever I should end up? If it matters, it is a 3G/sim vita, and the only memory cards they had were 8GB, so that is what I have to work with. It is also an "old" OLED vita. Thanks for any and all input.

Go to 3.60, the vpk are ok, but someone crated a malware in vpk, the last update of the VitaShell scans for potentially bad functions to be asked and advise you to only install if it was downloaded from a trusted source
TheFlow is working on a ePSP CFW for 3.60 henkaku

Thank you everyone, I guess I will get right on that. I will also try and find a larger memory card, as it appears 8GB will not get me very far.
