Hi, as you probably know, if you play any NES VC game the colors of it will be darker than they normally would be. This is probably caused by some kind of image filter in the emulator. Is it possible to remove it, so the colors would look as good as they would look on the NES?

Here's an image that I've found that can show you what's the problem with NES VC games:

Yes, can't remember who though, you need a cfw enabled 3ds and you need to edit a file within the game bundle, something about the screen size.
I have CFW (I have Luma3DS with A9LH) so I can pretty much do anything to the game files.

EDIT:

And by the way, the forced 4:3 aspect ratio isn't my main problem, it's just the colors. And I don't think that fixing the aspect ratio has anything to do with colors.

sure it does, if the resolution is set correctly, it will not resize the image and the pixels will all be the correct colours

But for example, the SNES Virtual Console is as bright as it should be, and there's even an option to change the resolution to the original one, and when you do that brightness doesn't change, only the aspect ratio changes. That problem isn't only in the NES VC neither. For example, you can see this problem in the N64 Virtual Console for Wii U, and the aspect ratio isn't changed there:

oh, i misunderstood.
as for a real answer, no, you can't adjust the brightness, its down to the emulator coding. The reason behind the brightness 'issue' isn't really an issue as you wouldn't have got the real RGB valuse on a real NTSC NES hooked up to an analog TV. To get 'real' RGB would take a mod of some kind and/or messing with your TV brightness/contrast settings. Emulators that show accurate RGB values are not emulating the video signal being converted to and from analog.

ROMFS root -> config.ini

[Mask]
; Normal Mode
DarkEnable0 = 1
ReduceEnable0 = 0
MotionBEnable0 = 0
Dark0 = 7 ;0~10
ReduceColorR0 = 0 ;0~31
ReduceColorG0 = 0 ;0~31
ReduceColorB0 = 0 ;0~31
MotionBlur0 = 31 ;0~31

Set DarkEnable0 to 0 to disable, or change Dark0 to change picture dimming amount.
Some trivia 'Dark0 = 7', the default value is approximately the same amount as GBA VC, and is darker than the Game Boy Player Startup Disc.

Thank you for your answers, I'll try this.
And by the way, can you edit 3DS game files directly on the 3DS? Or do you need to unpack .cia on PC and then edit the files and then pack it again and then install it via FBI?
