Wait 'til they will release the homebrew capable rednand. I'm sure it'll be ported soon.
That or sponsor/organize some homebrew contest just like in the vita scene. It will definitely invite more homebrew developers that way.

There is two issues, the first is that we need to implement all kernel functions like write and it may take time to construct the header and reimplement some of them.

And the second is that Kodi are writing a lot and data corruption should be avoid, so we need to access to USB FS and manage mount points for Kodi.

It's not impossible but it ma take time

Well most of the FFMPEG codecs are open-source, so most of the *hard* work seems already done for a software player.
Yeah, most (if not all) of Kodi is open-source. Anyone with sufficient experience (not me, yet) should be able to successfully port the code to HBL or RPX format.

True but the most important thing is we need devs to actually make it and they are all busy on other projects at the moment. Kodi is not of high priority to them.

You do realize kodi started on orginal xbox as xbmc.. Xbox media center

With Nettop style PC's and Android settop boxes been so cheap the Kodi team have little interest in hacked consoles anymore. Their no longer a cheap and easy way for the messes to use Kodi.

I doubt the Wii U will see a Kodi port, the Xbox 360 never did and was a lot more popular than the Wii U. It's not impossible, however i don't think anyone is going to take the time to do it.

Without USB access, i doubt it...
We *have* USB access.
Shhhh, don't tell pirates...

I se h264 library is pretty small, so we could get a video player sometime soon™ [hehehe, ™™™™] but that means h264 only.
(tbh I don't really think I will get it to work :P, let's try...)

i only buy new ones when theres a new standard and I have gear that uses it. Otherwise my cables seem to last forever.

I like electronics that use detachable cables, that way if the cable breaks you can just swap in a new one instead of replacing the whole unit

the L hdmi adapters work great on my tv and receiver. so much less stress on the ports using them than regular cables. in that instance anyway.

  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting stran on the ports. Instead of having the porrs along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
