Hi there,

I broke my a9lh n3ds. Long Story short I need to dump OTP from the new unit because the a9lhinstaller-fork for multiboot stages requires it. Plailect deleted the OTP guide for new3ds.

Has somebody a backup-link for it or can describe what I Need to do in comparison to an old 3ds? e.g. Do I Need Special patched ctrnand-transfer Image etc...
I'm not in the mood to hardmod this.

I'm pretty experienced with the stuff I don't Need a hand-in-Hand guide. Essential steps are enough.

Thank you

Greetings

He should keep the older versions archived as well... The only one he has archived is the ancient one before ctrtransfer was avaliable.

I'll get into it when I succesfully transfered the emunand.
Offtopic:
What a long shitty process. *hugh*
You can't make a emunand backup when the flash size is different neither with decrypt9 nor with emunand9. This sux. I had to use dd and a hex editor because emunandtool -of course- can't find the emunand partition on the sd. I was wondering why I couldnt find the emunand partition with the hexeditor... And guess what, the partition was at the beginning of the sd card. WTF :O I always thought it was at the end of the fat-partition with data. Two hours down the drain.
Now I'm reencrypting the emunand with the new xorpads and hope that it will boot. If it won't, well that would suck and I'd have to manual transfer the nand data+call nintendo to untie the old unit.

Never drop accidently a 3ds from high heights AND have the idea to restore all data to the new device without reinstalling.

EDIT: Thank you very much. Worked like a charm :)

To get this straight, you used the emuNAND from one 3DS as a emuNAND on another 3DS? Could you go into more detail about that process?

Actually you can just follow the steps for old 3ds. Just remember not to close the lid when you're on 2.1. I just finished installing a9lh via the 2.1 route for my Pokemon special console with the new guide.

I'm already done ;) Yes, the 2.1 guide works exactly for new3ds, too.
Me idiot just forgot to save OTP somewhere else. Practically I don't need it but I realized with a9lh installed, I can't boot 2.1.0 firmware.

What exactly are you talking about here? ShadowNAND with its altstage2?

I don't know anymore but it's not shadownand. It's just a fork of a9lh which is able to load different stage2 binaries from different address' (stage1 is patched, so that when you hold a button it loads stage2 binary from the corresponding address). This is useful for booting a9lhv2 while still be gateway compatible.

Do you know where I could find this fork?
