Seen this posted on a few tech-sites and found it interesting.

Morphus x300 - Android-based "console" with removable controllers - much like the Switch.

It's been out since about October 2015... Wonder if this is where Nintendo got their idea from?

Yeah could be.

Just thought it was interesting and worth a share.

Looking forward to more info on the specs of the Switch, for sure.

Maybe the people behind this got their idea from Nintendo's patent showing detachable controllers.

That would mean they either had top secret insider knowledge and were damn fast at producing their product OR invented a time machine, since that exact patent was filed in January this year, whereas the Morphus x300 came out in October 2015.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo starts work on the next console soon after the current one launches, right?

If so, Nintendo likely started work on the Switch anywhere from 2012 - 2014, so no, I don't think they necessarily stole the idea, that company just managed to release their similar product first.

Perhaps these other companies started work on their products before 2012 too - but we just don't know for sure, do we?

C'mon, Switch handheld mode is just a tablet with two gamepads attached to both side, it not something new or innovative.

Ask yourself is any of those machine you mention above have latest Legend of Zelda game, Splatoon or Mario game?
