hi im new to 3ds modding and stuff and wondering if anyone could help me with few things, ive just had my n3ds hardmoded back to 9.2.0-20e, the person that did the hardmod has installed al9h and put me luma cfw and fbi, ive then installed freeshop onto 3ds myself no problem but when i try download a game it says i need to update my fw.

first question is how do i update my 3ds so i can download games from freeshop and play them online. i have tried googling but can not find an answer, do i just do a system update via settings or do i need to do something diffrent

secound question is when i sent the 3ds to be hardmoded i forgot to put my 32gb sd card in and i was wondering if there is anything i need to do to the new sd card or can i just copy files over

1.I don't think freeshop asks to update FW before downloading.Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you mean the official Eshop(this asks you to update when you open it so you can download anything)
If you have a9lh+luma as you say you can update from the settings of your system.I did it myself and everyone else here and no problems occured.

2.I guess drag and drop the files. if you want your saves back you should have made a backup using JKSM. download JKSM and make backups of your games now so you won't lose anything again in the future

thanks for reply, it was defiantly on freeshop but i will just do a update see if that fixes it, i didnt want to just do a system update without confirming it first. dont wanna have to get it hard modded again

Yes you can update through system settings the normal way.

Format the SD cart to fat32 then copy EVERY folder and file from the old SD card to your 32 GB one.
Also, it's a good idea to back up your otp.bin file to a safe location.

Then if it is freeshop it should be fixed when you update.Oh and make sure you download the latest stable Luma Build.download the zip and replace your arm9loaderhax.bin file from the root of your sd card with the downloaded one

1.Move your files from your old sd card to the new one
2.Update Luma to latest stable (you are new here as you said so don't bother with the nightly/hourly builds)
3.Update system from system setting and check freeshop.

You might wanna update freeshop too to the latest build from here
If freeshop still doesn't work then ask in the freeshop page here in gbatemp.
