1. I have stock 2.1.0-4E O3DS, can I install arm9loaderhax?
2. Plailect guide section 3.6 -(If you don't have your NAND backup or it doesn't work, follow 9.2.0 ctrtransfer before updating) - if I start from 2.1.0 its necessary to do it before update right?

What exactly do you tell the customer service to get them to unlock the account?

The man I talked to tried to help, as best he could.
He almost had me delete the account though.

Edit. He also told me that he'll do a system transfer from his end, and I'll get an email when it's done.

Seems like an overly convoluted process.

Hello, I got a couple of quick questions

1. If I have an O3DS with A9LH and a 11.1.0-34U N3DS which is banned can I still do a system transfer (to get A9LH on the N3DS)? I ask this because when I tried I got an error in the 3DS, I'm pretty sure it cannot be done, but just making sure.

2. In the O3DS with A9LH, is it safe to do a system format in the system options to change my NNID (go through the initial setup) or should I use tiny format or another app?

Okay, I was able to correspond the ropbin for my current firmware to an appropriate PowerSaves made for it, and I can now access Homebrew with the oot3dhax!

So... even AFTER you upgraded to that firmware without prior homebrewing, it can still be done. Requires some elbow grease and physical hardware, but it's doable.

So, this is a bit of a long one, but here goes. I've been using the gateway cart for a while now on my o3DSXL. Never had any issues. Works great. I never much used the homebrew menu or FBI or any other programs. A few days ago I got the idea in my head that I'm smart and I should try the gateway A9LH installer. I was on firmware 9.2, but I have a nand back-up of my 9.0 firmware install that I made with gateway. So I updated to 10.3, then down to 2.1. This is where the trouble started. Every time I tried to install the A9LH software my 3DS would freeze on black screens. After a few times I figured screw it. When I tried to boot up gateway I realized too late that it doesn't work on that firmware, or at least it didn't work for me. After panicking a bit I used my Pokemon X cart and got the firmware up to 6.x, but gateway still didn't work. So I figured what the hell, let's roll the dice and went Plailect's guide to installing arm9loader.

So I was able to install Decypt9 and go back down to 2.1, then go through most of the steps until I got to the part of his(her?) guide that details updating the firmware through the 3DS. It failed then I looked further down the steps and noticed the bit about installing 9.2 and making a back up of that nand. So I tried that and got to 9.2. When I got to the point of injecting FBI into the health and safety app I got stuck. It didn't seem to work at all. So I installed GodMode9 and looked for the extra .TMD and .APP files that the guide says might be there because of gateway. They weren't there. So here I am trying to start over but for some reason Decrypt9 wouldn't boot up. After hours of reading online and trying and trying I caved and bought Lego Jurassic World just to get the firmware back up to 9.4. I tried gateway and no dice. Used sysDowngrader to go back to 9.2 thinking that maybe it would fix all of my problems. It did not hahaha. Anyway I feel like a moron for doing all this just to realize that I could have used Luma to restore my 9.0 nand. So this is what my 3DS is running right now.

Anyway, long story short, gateway still won't boot, not through the browser or homebrew menu. Same goes for RXtools, Decrypt9, and I still can't seem to inject FBI into the health and safety app. So, any ideas?

So, followed the guide everything went great I think... How do I know if I'm in a CFW or OFW? Like I updated and am not sure if I updated my original sys or my emu... There any indicator somewhere?

EDIT: Hmm, it appears number 2 didn't go so great. Issues installing H&S FIB hack.... I'll start over.

I found in LUMA where you can add a string to the system version but it doesn't change for me.... not sure if that's intentional.

The preinjected FBI app provided in the guide only works if you updated to the latest version. If you want to inject it on a lower version use my tool InjectorHelper.jar, can download from quantumc.at

If it's refurbished from Nintendo it will always be on the latest firmware.

Has anyone used this method?

If so, will that method work for the downgrade process? Otherwise I have to wait 7 days. Nintendo says the time delay doesn't matter to them. They can do this 3 times a year apparently.

No, that will not work. No data will be transferred, only the NNID. The data is the vital part (the hacked save).

I figured it wouldn't. It sounded too good to be true.

Is their "system transfer" the way to unlink the nnid that is mentioned in the downgrade process?
