What is better in your opinion?
I'm going to buy some stuff and I'd like to know wich is more reliable.
What are pros and cons of both sites?
Thanks in advance:)

Amazon has better tracking, etc.

Ebay you can obtain a lot more things you can't on Amazon.

Amazon is less sketchy.

Ebay you can get things for potentially much cheaper prices.

There's lots of pros and cons of both, but that's just my two cents on the matter.

Is there one more reliable?
or should I just pay attention to the seller?

Amazon is more reliable. But, yes, if you pay attention to the seller on Ebay or Amazon, you won't have an issue. If something is too good to be true, do not buy it, or it can screw you over in the end.

Depends where you are in the world, and I am less familiar with the Italian flavours of both than I am many of the others (I know US, UK, France and Germany for Amazon and their warehouses and policies, they can be quite different as well -- people talk about prime in the US giving free shipping, it is and usually was always free in the UK, speaking to some of the Dutch people then they can try to have addresses in Germany as the distance can be longer across it than it is to get to the Netherlands but shipping can still shoot up and vendors not want to ship things).

Ebay.
You find a lot more random stuff. I am not going to find car parts on amazon, give or take electrical boring stuff and maybe the odd gasket set, ebay on the other hand. If you want old and cool things, that are not books and games anyway, then amazon does not even compete.
You also find a lot more "broken" stuff. I can buy spares and repairs things for all manner of devices on ebay, less so on Amazon.
I see some bigger "bundles" on ebay, and at the same time people parting those bundles. Worth having a look on both if you are after job lots of electrical parts though.
Amazon UK at least does better for a lot of newer tools and machinery, at least outside the pro market. On new gear then I see enough on both of them, though Amazon probably has the edge in consumer goods.

Amazon do better for games and books for me, if I am after specifics. If I am just going to browse randomly and see what there is then I will go in real world shops but if I did have to use online then ebay would be part of it. Given ebay is the very thing that kind of put an end to the "I will sell you this rare book/game/tool/... because I think it is old junk" in second hand shops, newspapers, jumble sales.... then there are a surprising amount of people on ebay that do not check ebay prices.

For most electrical things they are pretty even on basic "new" replacement parts. If you want replacement laptop screens, tablet screens, charge ports, antennae... then there is not a lot in it. In any case if the seller does it properly and looks like they have a normal website (my chosen vendor for screens is on amazon and ebay, they have a site with everything usually £5 cheaper for the same parts and everything, and I have similar stories for flash memory) then go that.

Consider that you also have things like craigslist in the US, gumtree in the UK and a quick search told me http://www.subito.it/ in Italy.

Amazon stuff sold by Amazon is like a normal website, however everything else with random businesses and members of the public I consider to be the bottom rung of selling stuff online.

Seller ratings on both went kind of meaningless years ago -- always love the little notes that say contact us before you give us less than 5 stars thing, and given that sellers can rate buyers and be vindictive... Though the usual check the language and if it looks like it was written by a 13 year old that can not write, and also does not know the first thing about what they got, then consider it accordingly.

If you want new, Amazon. If you want to get new but much cheaper but potentially something wrong with it, Ebay.
Ok thanks very much for your time:)....I always used Ebay but I think I'll try Amazon now

Frankly, I use them for different stuff. I used not to use Amazon a lot as I myself did not have a credit/debit card, but I did have PayPal money, so.... I bought stuff through that.

Currently, I still use Ebay UK a lot, but Amazon is cool for books and all of that stuff.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Amazon, I was actually able to buy a cheap 32GB microSD card that worked as advertised and wasn't fake. Something I can never say about eBay.
Yep, Ebay carries a lot of risk with this kind of stuff. I recently got a 64GB Samsung EVO microSD for about 18€ and the first thing I did was doing a hardware test. It seems legit, I'm pretty happy about that. Here, you can get a 32GB card for about 16€ iirc. soooo.... online was significantly cheaper.

When I was about to buy a new phone on Ebay I saw a comment that said the phone was branded but in the description there was written nothing about that; I saw the same thing also on another seller so now I don't know how much I can trust Ebay and I want to try Amazon, at least for phones

Amazon is trustworthy, as far as I know. Ebay, you have to carefully check the seller for more expensive stuff imo.

I can agree on most of this, but at least in the US, Amazon does have a vehicles department. I'm not sure exactly how extensive it is, but I got a side mirror replaced for a fairly competitive price, and a radio for a junker I acquired. As for laptop replacement parts, its entirely hit or miss. I was able to find an oem replacement fan and keyboard for both mine and my dad's Lenovo laptops. As for electronics accessories, they seem to have a "different" range than the specialists stores including Newegg.

As for eBay, I've never had any experience with it, so I'm not going to make any baseless comments on it.

The only thing I'd say gives the edge to eBay over Amazon is having pictures of its products. Most of the time you have that one basic picture of what you want.

Lets say you want to buy a copy of a video game, a used copy since its no longer printed new anymore. They can show you the cover and back of the game's boxart but sellers dont have to show you pics and you are even lucky if you can get a description.

However I'd give it to Amazon for having much better customer service, eBay treats its sellers like shit 9/10 times and with how expensive their fees are its almost becoming less desirable to sell goods on there recently. Shopping on there can sometimes be sketchy but thats more of a personal problem and being smart on where your going.

I regard Amazon as a place that offers mostly the same stuff that I can get from Swedish retail (internet or not, important part is not end up with expensive shipping costs and having to wait). I did buy a kindle from Amazon, the worst buying experience I've had in my life. More a problem with whom they partner up with to deliver the stuff, oh, and a low quality product of course.

I've found some amazing deals on eBay on the other hand and I pretty much always look there first if I'm looking for something.
