Homebrew Firmware of a Fresh 3DS XL?

Hi!

I'm planning to buy my first 3DS XL soon, and want to homebrew it, however, I don't know what firmware a fresh console will have, so I'm concerned that it won't be homebrewable/downgradable.

Should I be worried? What firmware to expect on a fresh 3DS XL?

I think that all the New 3DSes come with 11.0 now

My store just had all their 2DSes recalled and replaced with the new colored red and blue ones that definitely come with OFW 11.x :/

It depends on the type. The newer ones like the Galaxy Edition will 100% be on 11.0 or higher. If you want a good chance I suggest buying either the Red or Black brand new as they will at least be on 10.7 usually.

I made it, I got the one NekoMichi did as inspiration. It's still incomplete, I will add some adds like what entry point works with KOR/TWL/CHN consoles
