Hardware Getting N3DS Galaxy Tomorrow from Best Buy

so I decided to get a new N3DS XL ( I have O3DS XL With latest Lumas ) from Best Buy. Most likely it will be 11.0 right? What are my choices to getting Lumas on it? Also what are my chances to get IPS or dual IPS? I searched for hours to find as much info about it and still seems it random.. Are my chances better with the Black or Red N3DS?

Galaxy was confirmed to have 11.0.
Do Fieldrunners downgrade on n3DS with o3DS to downgrade and set up arm9loaderhax.
I'm not sure about the screens though.
I've heard some Red and Black n3DXL systems come with 11.0 now, could be mistaken, however.

In order to get Luma, you need to have it under 11.0, and for the Galaxy N3DS XL, you will need a 3DS with CFW and a Dsiware game to do the DSi Downgrade, it would be better if you just buy a N3DS XL Black or Red, they are more prolly to be under 11.0 after all.

Galaxy is definitely on 11.0 firmware. Got three units here, and they all have the fiddly firmware.

You'd have to use your hacked o3DS to buy Fieldrunners, install the exploited save and then do a system transfer to move it there.

I have a Galaxy unit with a lower IPS screen. Not a big deal, but I haven't seen one with both before.

If you already have CFW o3DS, then you only need DSiWare downgrade. What firmware the n3DS you're looking for are irrelevant now, as 11.1 are confirmed to be downgradable.
About the screen, i suggest you don't have to care about it, the differences are minimal unless you compare both screen at the same time, or if you're planning to play at extreme angle.

now about dsiware.. so I use my CFW O3DS to buy fieldrunners from eshop, get the exploit for it.. transfer system data to N3DS using the system tranfer data and insall my themes and .cia games again? how about my save data?
Also will any of them have any problems if I play both at same time? lets say to play pokemon X on one and on the other pokemon y?

https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/DSiWare-Downgrade. Everything gets transferred to the n3DS, save data, themes, legit games. CIA games and themes will not transfer. Those will need to be redownloaded. You also can't transfer back to the o3DS when you've transferred to the n3DS.

It might, but it might not. You're better off spending the $5 for a game that will transfer.

No. That won't work, you have to buy it to make it "legit".

after everything is done and finish.. will it harm any console if i switch sd cards between them? ( yes i know, I don't need to do that ) lol just a question cause right now i have a 64gb on the CFW O3DS while when I get my N3DS tomorrow it will have a clean 32gb one..

Hey i dont want to ruin it for you but if you really want a ips new 3ds id say stay away from galaxy they are mostly top TN all of them... i have some proof here

so most of the galaxy's like 90 percent of it will be TN but if it doesnt bother u then go for it because the art is awesome...

your best bet with ips is getting a diff limited edition or try ur luck with black and reds

also that site wasnt the only thing that stated that most galaxy are tn if u google it multiple forums talk about that every one with a galaxy they were all mostly top TN some had bottom IPS but never TOP ips never..
dont be alarmed tho TN is not all that bad people make it a big deal because they look at the tn from the side but if u look at it straight on with ips next to eachother itll look very identical and tn uses 15 percent less power as well and tn doesnt suffer from ghosting blurring scanlines ips glow and other things also im not a tn fan boy i have ips my self and a tn as well theyre both good in there own ways the ips crushes blacks rly bad

thanks man for the info, but yeah I don't mind at all to be honest, also I went with the galaxy because only one close enough to my fav color ( blue ) that they sell in Best Buy

Yeah it doesny rly matter to be honest if u put a tn and a ips side by side and u look at it straight on so not from the side u can hardly tell a difference theyre almost the same so and yeah blue is nice i live in europe we have the metallic blue new 3ds xl which is also pretty i thought the galaxy was more purple tho?

yes it is more purple but closes to Blue lol but I might change it to the Black one.. not sure will go later on and see
