Hello everyone,
yesterday I bought a second hand old 3dsxl and immediately decided to install a9lh and luma following plailect guide. Everything went wel, I downgraded to 2.1 got the otp, installed arm9, and upated to 11.1 as said in the guide. Now I had seen some videos of luma before doing this process and I remember that on the videos when you got to the settings you could that the version was something like Emu v. blabla.
But for me is Sys v11.1.... Is this normal?
In luma config i have enabled autoboot sysnand as explained in the guide

Yeah. It's normal.

Show NAND or user string in System Settings: By default, this displays the current NAND/FIRM instead of "Ver." in System Settings.
  • The strings that can be shown are:
    • Sys: SysNAND booted with with its own FIRM,
    • Emu: first EmuNAND booted with its own FIRM,
    • EmuX (where X can be 2, 3 or 4): EmuNAND X booted with its own FIRM,
    • SysE: SysNAND booted with the first EmuNAND's FIRM,
    • SyEX (where X can be 2, 3 or 4): SysNAND booted with EmuNAND X's FIRM,
    • EmuS: first EmuNAND booted with the SysNAND FIRM,
    • EmXS (where X can be 2, 3 or 4): EmuNAND X booted with the SysNAND FIRM.

So it's ok if it does not say Emu? Practically my sysnand and emunand are the same thing right?
I don't get it. Do you boot EmuNAND if you expect Emu string? You haven't wrote about having EmuNAND installed in first post.

Try relaunch Settings after you got wrong string. If you writing about what i think.

Emu if EmuNAND.
Sys if SysNAND.
I know this, I just do not have Emu at all, even if I boot with L or disable autoboot Sysnand or any other configuration, I only have Sys. So I just want to know if it's supposed to be like this, or did I do something wrong during the installation process.

With a9lh you don't need emunand as it is safe to update sysnand with it.

Have you read first post? Or you just like posting replies?

In this statment he clearly was asking if he did something wrong as he doesn't have an emunand. He didn't as you won't setup an emunand with a9lh. He is looking at an outdated guide about something that still uses emunand.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@byrek with a9lh installed any mention of emunand anywhere can be replaced with sysnand as it is protected.

Okay. Seems like I misunderstood.
