Wow! I read all your replies and there were some really good points being made. Do you guys think that there will be new mario games at launch, and if so, which ones? Just curious.
Pros - I think it will be backwards compatible with the Wii U
Cons - its specs are going to suck so there will be no 3rd party ports of AAA games from xbone or pisspoor
I wouldn't worry about battery life, with how chunky the thing and generally how tablets usually have pretty good battery life, I'm sure they've put a reasonably sized battery in it. Then again the Wii U gamepad comes with a tiny battery, so you never know.+ Name. Ends 10 years of awful "Wii" tyranny.
+ Powerful portable.
- Maybe weak home console.
- Battery Life
+ Small, tidy home console.
- Bulky handheld with no screen protection.
- Seems like a lot of parts and gadgets to worry about.
+ Looks like good 3rd party interest.
+ Good multiplayer system.
+ Value, since it covers both home console and portable. No need to buy both now.
± Backwards compat. Would be a huge + if at least 3ds was supported.
That makes sense now I know it uses a tegra processorNo, Nintendo of Japan already mentioned that it won't be a backwards compatible with the Wii U at all. It will be the first time they ever had.. No backward compatible like PS4. Maybe Wii U VC, yes.

Emulation, possibly?Just 9 hours ago... Nintendo confirms:

Emulation, possibly?
....the appearance of these ports would support rumors reported earlier this year reported by Eurogamer, NintendoLife, and more that several Wii U titles would be ported to Nintendo’s next console.
NINTENDO SWITCH WILL SUPPORT UNREAL ENGINE 4
All of these are just guesses or opinions. I think only like a tiny slim of posts are the only ones gave real pros and cons. First of all the Switch doesn't have a touch screen, if it did it would count as a gimmick because playing it as a home console with it in need of a touch screen would be hard without some accessory, second it's specs haven't been released so you having a assumption doesn't count as a statement.Pros - I think it will be backwards compatible with the Wii U
Cons - its specs are going to suck so there will be no 3rd party ports of AAA games from xbone or pisspoor
It also ends 12 years of DS tyranny XD I mean, it could have been called New 3DSiXL lite & knuckles like that image i saw somewhere here for all we know...
I said that all in one breath, i feel proud.Pros: No Wii brand.
Portable console with TV out.
Cons: Most likely portable console power.
Will be battery hell with 3 things to worry about (Tablet and the L and R joycons).
No, those are just educated guesses. Is it confirmed that this uses a fan?
