Hi Guys.

I have some custom GBA VC games and when I try to open any of them the system restarts. I'm using LUMA CFW with menuhax. I have the games installed in both NANDs. I don't know why this happening since those games were working before.

Also, I tried to open those game in SysNand by using pastaCFW and I didn't have any problem. The problem is just happening in my EmuNand.

My EmuNand and LumaCFW is updated to the latest firmware.

Thanks.

No patched agb_firm. I had this happen in a9lh too. I don't know why it started but I reinstalled AGB_FIRM and now gba games work again. There is a tutorial on reinstalling AGB_FIRM and Twl in the tutorial section. Just do the agb part. I don't think you need to patch the agb firm, I think Luma does this automatically and patching the file is like doing it twice.

They aren't using A9LH, though, thus they need to install the patched AGB_FIRM.

Luma3DS patches on-the-fly the AGB_FIRM, no matter if menuhax or A9LH as a entrypoint. If he/she installs a patched AGB_FIRM, luma will try to patch it again and will make every GBA game to don't start till he/she install a clean AGB_FIRM again.

Ohh, I had no idea. Thank you for clarifying.

Maybe the problem is that your AGB_FIRM is corrupted, but no matter what caused it, installing a clean AGB_FIRM again will solve your problems

Yeah, maybe it's corrupted. Because I've patched AGB_FIRM in the past in both Nands. I will try to reinstall it.

Thanks

Sorry for the double post.

@Gray_Jack I have installed the original (clean) AGB_FIRM in both NANDs (Emu and Sys) and I'm still getting the same issue when I open a GBA game. My system just restarts if I open them in EmuNand. It doesn't matter if is a custom or original VC GBA game, it keeps restarting if I try to open it.

I'm pretty sure I have installed a clean AGB_FIRM because my custom GBA games installed in my SysNand they are not working anymore. Only Zelda Minish Cap works.

The problem seems to be in EmuNand, because none of them GBA (Custom or not) works.

Thank you.

Make sure your emunand is updated. Make sure Luma is updated. Get 3dnus. Download a clean agb_firm. I would get twl too while your at it (look in tutorials, there is s post with the title id and versions) make sure they install successfully. some people have to use bbm, others have to use fbi(latest version) Then if I were you I would install a9lh. If not make sure your menuhax is up to date. Maybe try turning gbaa splash on and off in Luma settings.

Did you installed it in both NANDs?
'Cuz if you did, I dunno what is causing your problem...

Luma is updated. Emunand is updated. I got a clean agb_firm. I used FBI (version 2.2.2). Only thing is not updated is menuhax, my version is 2.7. GBA Splash screen is off, I can try turn it on, but I doubt it's going to solve the issue.

Yep. I installed a clean AGB_FIRM in both nands.

That's a weird issue. It was working some weeks ago, and then, I installed a new VC GBA game and then, nothing working anymore.

I will try to use latest FBI version, and update menuhax. And I will delete all GBA games in both nands, and then install again.

Maybe deleting only the last one should be enough

I'm almost getting in something. This issue is seeming to be related to Luma CFW.

I have unistalled every GBA game and reinstalled again, and also, I installed Zelda 4 Sword Anniversary Edition. I reinstalled again GBA_FIRM and TWL in both Nands. I've downloaded them by 3DSNus. Also, I installed menuhax lastest version (3.1). Everything was good, execpt by boot loader (CTRBootManager) is not working anymore. Go directly to Homebrew Launcher now. But this a detail, I can work around with a solution. Probably is because I updated menuhax.

Anyway, with all GBA games and zelda 4 swords installed in both Nads I tried to launch them. The same problem is happening. Even for Zelda 4 Swords. The game refuses to open and istead of that, the system restarts. However, Zelda 4 Swords works if I open it in SysNand.

But there's something curious. I used Luma3DS Updater and I chose the latest hourly build instead of normal build. When I tried to open any of those games, the 3DS just shut down. hahaha not restating anymore, but it completely shut down. Really weird.

I came back to normal version and it stopped to shut down, and then it's restarting again if I launch VC GBA Games or Zelda 4 Swords Anniversary Edition.

What do you guys think?

Thanks
