Hacking Excited, Just bought a 9.2 N3DS w/ al9h

So just just bought a n3ds with 9.2 fw w/ al9h on it. Paid a good amount but i think it was worth it.

My question though is what I should do first when I get my new 3ds? I was thinking I should backup everything first but not sure how to correctly do a backup. Can someone point me to the right direction or give me some pointers

You can use Hourglass9 to make NAND backups. Also, not to rain on your parade or anything but if you paid more than retail price then you got jipped. Now that N3DSs no longer require the 2.1 downgrade it's very safe to set up A9LH on them.

I agree with @Joom. You could have done the A9LH yourself, since it's even easier now. But it's up to you xD.

paid about 50.00 greater than retail. so youre saying i could load A9LH on a n3ds that has a firmware of 11+? because before this i went to walmart and gamestop looking for one with older firmware and could not find one

Technically yes, it would be harder. Either with a hardmod or with another CFW 3DS and 5$.

Should have shopped some online stores and asked for version number then used lookup to see firm, but hey $50 for a few free games is pretty good price.

Make NAND backup and SD card backup. Then post here all the apps it has installed and people can suggest some others that may be helpful.

All N3DSs, except for the Galaxy edition and SM3DL bundle, come with downgradable firmware and do not require a hardmod. Unless of course this has changed recently.

You just put the A9LH binary in sdmc://luma/payloads and name it something like "start_Hourglass9.bin",then hold start while booting to launch it.

My Super Mario 3D Land New 3DS bundle came with 10.7. Ordered it straight from the Best Buy website because they had it the cheapest and were willing to deliver it to me in the hospital.

Some of the 3D Land bundles come with 11, some didn't. You got lucky if you got one on 10.7, like I did.
