If I use another SD card and install them, it renders the save files on the other SD card as corrupt and since Pokemon Bank compatibility isn't coming until early next year, what do I do if want more than one save file for R/B/Y? I don't want to lose my data from R/B/Y, but I'd love to start over again, without losing my current Pokemon I've caught. Any idea on how to overcome this obstacle?

Just use JKSM. You can have more than one save backed up at a time in different folders and just restore them when you want to use them without removing the SD card at all.

i come up with an idea...
you can abuse the different versions...
install the german, the italian and or spanish versions...
inject the english ROM in that versions..

i think you can also achieve this by just changing the ID or something, since i have several ROM hacks installed at the same time

Why would you do that when you can have separate saves in general? That's overkill.

how do you select that saves?
My second response...... JKSM saves backups in folders; it doesn't just back it up to the SD card. That means you can export the game more than once in separate folders and import them as you see fit. I.E Start a game on Pokemon Red, beat Brock, export your save with JKSM and name the file "Brock". Delete the save data and start a new game... Get to your starter, export that to a new folder and name it "Starter". Import your previous save you named "Brock".... Now you're back on your original game. You can save as many backups as you want...

that's what i guessed,
i thought about my solution because i thought OP would want to play several saves at the same time... you can install a new copy of the same game (with another id or something) and easily swap the games as he which and want...

however jksm tool is great if you want to backup or manage saves...
i was just thinking if you wanted a simple and easier way to play 2 different saves of the same game without needing to launch a save tool everytime change the "save slot"

Yeah from what they said though it seems like they just want to have more than one save file per game which JKSM will allow (albeit with exporting/injecting since the game itself only allows one save). If they DO want the title installed more than once to have separate saves that way, it's a good suggestion too. I just figured they wanted a solution for the former.
