Hacking Sun/Moon Demo rebooting my O3DS?

I've tried 2 different .cia's of the Sun/Moon demo but whenever I select it, it gets past the 3DS screen, but my system reboots. Im running RXTOOLS on a 9.2 SysNand and 11.0 EmuNand from coldboot

Delete the game and download from eShop. I think the problem is the seed is invalid. Either you can find the download of the seed and fix it with FBI or get it properly from eShop.

I believe it may be a seed error, there's a fix for it on that iso site (that you're gonna have to find on your own )

OP is still on 11.0, emuNAND and rxtools. Defs outdated hax here but everything should work.

Maybe the demo is not playable on 11.0 and requires the last version ?
I don't know if it's possible on 3DS.

This game need to be reboot on O3DS to run. similar to Monster Hunter 4. Did you using O3DS?
As a Nep's religion fellow, I suggest you to move to A9LH + Luma3DS though.
Bacause right now rxtools is old and abandon by dev.

Edit:: Just saw on the title that you're using old 3DS. Does rxtool have reboot patch?

As far as I know, Smash and MH4 required a reboot AFTER using the game, and I haven't gotten a chance to switch to a9lh and Luma yet due to the fact I don't have my own PC yet and have to use my brother's PC

I try testing with NTR on and run Sun & Moon Demo on my JP O3DS.
Yep, Sun & Moon Demo will reboot O3DS to run a game since I can't press X + Y to activated NTR Menu, while I can do it on N3DS.
So, I have to repeat my question, does rxtool have reboot patch?

Edit: according to FAQ: What CFW is best for me?, rxtools doesn't have reboot patch. Not sure if this is the clause or not.

Not sure if it's a cause or not. But since you got reboot back after you launch it, it's may be reboot patch.

SuMo works like SmashBrothers, it uses extended Ram and restarts the system to try to get enough ram to play the game, if I'm not mistaken.

Hence you need to be on a different CFW that can support the reboot and playing the game.

Even without A9LH, at least move on to Luma using Menuhax, the automatic menuhax reboot will still be in emunand at least.

It reboots because the game is using extended memory mode. Basically it's using more resources to play the game and to close it requires the system to reboot on the old3DS.

Also please stop using RXTools
Please look into a more up to date CFW.

Yeah, using coldboot menuhax, if I'm not mistaken.

Alternatively, the present A9LH is very very much easier to install,
way easier than when I first installed A9LH (which was V1 at that point).

I just downgraded + A9LH my clear blue 2DS two days ago,
and it was very easy.

Plus if you are on Rxtools, you probably don't even need to downgrade to 9.2! (only need 2.0 ctr transfer),
so you just need to follow Phailect guide step by step (it'll even tell you when to skip steps)

Read it through first, though.
