After endlessly teasing an announcement on Twitter, developer Rockstar has finally revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 is real, and will be releasing Fall of next year for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. They will also be releasing a trailer for the game on October 20th, at 11AM Eastern Time.

An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

If we're lucky, it'll turn out to be like GTA5...two years later we get a PC port. I don't get why Rockstar doesn't understand that PC versions mean extra cash. Did they not see how much money GTA5 Steam took in??

Was thinking exactly the same but it could be that they want to boost the console market, maybe Sony/MS thrown some money into the development.
But if its a timed console exclusive then i find that lame.

If the rumors about NX are any true then it's unlikely.

The rumours for the NX range anywhere between "slightly weaker than wii u" to "2x as strong as xbox one", so I'm not sure which rumours you're referencing I'm personally hoping for the "close to xbox one capabilities" (tegra x2...which is its own discussion), and the "pretty much drop and convert" system nintendo has going for devs, both to be true.

I suppose I should say, If those last two are true, then, I hope the NX will get this game

Want people to double dip. Will do the same as they did with GTA. Deny/say nothing of the PC version, knowing a lot will give up and buy console version. After 6 months or so, release pc version, get the same people buying it again.
