Just wondering because I have an o3ds and it takes forever to install a game. Is there any way possible? Even a little is fine with me. I'm installing strait from an sdcard, class 10 80m/s. Also is network install faster? (am using FBI)

If you used freeshop to install games it would download and install games at the same time hence saving you time. Also you wouldn't have to come to it every time it finished to install the next game freeshop automatically does that. Other than that buying a new SD card won't help much and anything else probably won't help either.

thanks, ill try freeshop. BUT im only here cause i bought a new sd, both the same speed, same brand (sandisk) only diffrence was, one is 16 gb, the other 32. YET the 32 takes WAY longer

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

now that i think about it, could it be a theory?: since the 3ds loads in chunks when installing, and then has to write an encrypted chunk at the same time, would that slow it down? ie: i notice when i copy multiple things at the same time on a pc, but seperatley, (select copy/paste) on each one individually, i do notice its slower, so could it simply be that the read, then encrypt is slowing it down? So theoretically speaking, freeshop should be faster because all it has to is write a loaded chunk then right?

Would this have something to do with my makeshift emunand transfer? what i did was create an emunand dump of the first sd, format emunand on the second then restored that dump to the second, then copied all sd card folders

It shouldn't be a problem. Maybe is related with the 3DS itself. Have you tried with another SD?

The 32 gb and it takes forever

Try this:

1.- Backup your SD content (including the emuNAND partititon)
2.- Fomat the SD with Panasonic SD Formatter.
3.- Inject the emuNAND again on the SD and place all the files.

ok so i did the benchmark test, it passed at about 16 mb/s. but now that i look at how fast it is actually copying anything, it will start off at about 16 mb/s, then drop dramatically after a minuet or so to around 3 mb/s. any ideas on a fix? cause i can imagine thats the cause of it.
