I can't believe I'm asking this but, what would be the fastest way to pirate these games? It's confirmed they're going to be 3.2gb, so freeshop/ciangel would take a mighty long time, but would it take longer than a scene dump of the game would appear on the internet?

At that point, would Sky3DS/Gateway be the fastest? If it comes to downloading from a computer, then yeah, but still. I'm actually really torn here, what do you all think?

And don't worry I know it doesn't really matter, just curious and thought it would be fun to talk about. :P

Maybe use funkeyCIA or one of the other CDN downloaders to download it on your computer, then copy it to your SD card and install it. Double space needed, but it'd probably be the fastest since your computer can surely download the game faster than the pitiful 3DS wifi can.

Freeshop, maybe.
For it to be on freeShop, someone needs to buy the game digitally, extract and upload their decTitleKeys.bin, wait for the guy that updates that title keys site to update the site, then let freeShop download the encTitleKeys.bin. It'll be on that iso site faster.

Is this fastest to get or fastest to install? Two different things OP.

Let's say the fastest way to play these games through piracy. Be it, downloading a cia and installing, downloading a .3ds, freeshop, etc.

But we also gotta take into consideration-- if not freeshop/ciangel, how long would it take to dump and upload to the internet?

It depends on the person who uploads the games' internet speeds. Remember, Sun/Moon is a 3.2gb game.

In which case, a Sky3DS+ (or a Brickway -ughh) + the 3DS release will be the fastest way.

lol, ofc if you download it from your computer it will be faster, but you have to install it on your 3ds then, and that takes a lot of time for a 3.2gb game

If anything, Gateway would be faster since writing to an SD card is faster than CIA installation, but then you would need to find a good hoster to actually be a better option versus downloading the CIA straight from the NUS, and knowing dumpers, it will be either MEGA or weird hosters nobody heard about that limits download to 60kbps.

Then again, I'll probably wait for reviews about the difficulty curve of Sun/moon, if it's XY/ORAS difficulty I'll just wait for Dio_Vento's Nova Sun/Umbra Moon.
