Hacking HELP I just tried OTPLess A9LH install on Brand New N3DS LL Pearl White

AND.... IT WORKED! TROLOLOLOL, Let's all agree to put that myth to rest!!!!

Just bought this Japanese N3DS LL for the hell of it. I've now done 2 consoles in the span of a week and no issue what so ever. I will note I did the plailect guide with the supplied SD card then swapped to a bigger one once A9LH was installed.

The only question I have is what does Nintendo use to identify a console? Is it just the secure info? I've heard about certificates, etc... If so what are they and can they be extracted/injected?

My thought is to create an EmuNAND on both consoles and CTRNAND transfer to each others EmuNAND and inject each other's secure info to see if I can swap between JAP and NA games easily. This way I won't have to carry around both at the same time and can enjoy online play in both regions...

But you can play JPN games on a NA console just fine if you have Luma3DS.

I think i understand what he wants to do, inject the same CTR transfer to the emunand and for both 3ds's to pick it up as a valid NAND dump. Thus using either of the 3ds with the same sd card without losing saves, games, etc.

Exactly, basically cloning the devices into each other. I've looked around a bit, but didn't know if there was an be all/end all list of how to clone a device.

I asked this sometime ago. It's a quite fiddly thing to do... In theory there are ways to accomplish this, but nonetheless i became scared to do it in the end because i thought there wasn't enough confirmation on whether it was safe or not to do.

All you need to do is accept the EULA of the other regions. This is easily done by finding the config.cia file and setting the EULA Setting to ff.ff

For online play, you have to use a leaked config utility rom to change EULA to ff.ff

SWEET, thx!!! I'll scope these out and see if it's possible to do these on EmuNANDs, this way the risk is I just format the SD card. The only thing I'm a little worried about is a good ole Ninty Console Ban or NNID ban (may make throw away NNIDs).

Ok great, I didn't know if there was anything on Ninty's servers which checked if the console was from that region prior to allowing it in that online network. Thx!

Make sure to permanently keep the wireless OFF on one of the consoles after the CTRTransfer.

Especially if you have an NNID.

I was thinking about injecting the secureinfo, certificates, and movable.sed, and giving it a go...

Interesting tho, what happens if they both happen to be on and on wifi using the same info, hmmmm

Just nervous about getting a console ban...
