Hacking I'm lost, what i have to do with my old outdated 3ds xl?

Hey Guys and guuurls~

I'm lost....
I bought my gateway 3ds around 1-2 years ago and use it unchanged since then.
I have an Old 3ds XL on Firmware Ver. 7.1.0-10E
I use the Browser method to load the gateway 3ds ( going on http://go.gateway-3ds.com )
Then i press Select and choose the game i want to play from my sd card and hurray tada kaching im playing.
Gateway Version is GW3D 9.9.0-26E

Last time i asked for help in a Thread i just didn't understand anything...people said lol and told me that its sooo outdated xD
I want to play some games online but i can't due to old version.

Help? Please? There are so many Guides around here but no one seems to be on such an outdated Version like me and i'm scared to brick my system while doing things i shouldn't!

Yea gateway carts don't hack a 3ds it just gives the ability to play pirated games.

No but you can simply go to the updating to 9.2.0 part and then just follow the steps!

He doesn't have to be on 9.2 all though it's recommended. My 3ds was on 8.1 when i a9lh'ed it.

What you need

• You will need to have booted into Decrypt9 via one of the Part 1 - ARM9 entrypoints
• The 2.1.0 ctrtransfer image for your device and region
  (if your device is not from one of these regions, just pick one):
  • Old 3DS or 2DS 2.1.0 - EUR - ctrtransfer
  • Old 3DS or 2DS 2.1.0 - JPN - ctrtransfer
  • Old 3DS or 2DS 2.1.0 - USA - ctrtransfer

Instructions
You should be in Decrypt9 for these steps. If you are not in Decrypt9, follow Part 1 - ARM9

1. Press (Select) on the main menu to eject your SD card, then put it in your computer
2. Copy the 2.1.0 .bin and .bin.sha from the ctrtransfer zip to the /files9/ folder on your SD card

So im at this point that i downloaded the EUR ctrtransfer...but its an .torrent file?!
How can i get the .bin and .bin.sha from this file xD do i uhm...have to download a torrent downloader and download those file with this uhm...torrent? really?

You have to download a torrent client. There's no way around it.

Luma3DS is a CFW, which you will get after follow Plailect's guide.

Luma is a Custom Firmware... which (I think) runs through certain Exploit which give's you the best of both worlds: Custom Firmware World/SysNAND and NAND/Native Firmware that is.

Basically, it let's you PIRATE in ANY way your system with the gooddies that Nintendo gives without getting banned. Or that's how I see it.
The guide explicitely tells you how to get it... so yeah. You should.

Well it may be a bit late for this but, all you had to do was update your launcher.dat and update emuNAND.
