Title says all, Personally I love Super Sentai because their actually funny, to me, and they aren't afraid to be on kinda touchy subjects. For example in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger the black ranger's friend was killed by one of the monsters and he wanted revenge, and also Torin was killed so he can literally go to hell so he can help stop the enemies plans. I definitely don't see power rangers doing anything as crazy as that. Super Sentai is far from perfect, they're still pretty corny at times and unfortunate the red ranger will always have the spot light. But Power rangers isn't all that bad well it is compare to Super Sentai but not that bad, I grew up with it after all, but after the dreaded Super Mega Force crap I was done, the so called legendary battle was crap the final boss was killed in an instant which was mediocre and they called the previous Super Sentai Squads "new forms or new legendary modes" which makes no sense since they're never gonna adapt them and they only had like 2 or 3 previous rangers that appeared. Honestly Power Rangers was good when Disney owned it they had amazing intros that you could jam to except RPM and the stories were pretty good. I loved RPM despite the terrible intro. Post apocalyptic world ruled by machines except one area where the power rangers reside, it was awesome.

Sorry for writing so much didn't know I would ramble so much lol

My Power Rangers fandom is limited, I watched some episodes of the original series and played the SNES game Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. However, the biggest part of my fandom was the motion picture. I watched it a lot as a kid, and haven't really seen it since then. I did also watch Lost Galaxy, some of that, but afterwards, nothing. When it came right down to it, other franchises captured me, namely Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z. It does put into perspective how many amazing kid shows there were in the 90s and early 2000s, you simply couldn't watch them all. I am very interested in the upcoming movie. I love Elizabeth Banks, for one, and just the prospect of a Power Rangers movie done seriously, is interesting. I fear it will have too much CGI, but have to wait and see.

I don't really remember watching most of the ones up to wild force. As for the upcoming for it's looking interesting both bad and good, I do hope they do it good maybe even have a good story line and not just copying the one from the original. One thing that really irritates me is that they're always give mighty morphing power ranger love and not the others in my opinion

I think I've gave up the "serie in general" ... I mean I stop being an PW fan wen I discovered about sentai ... not because all the cultural difference they want to force us up since, I don't know today but times ago no one other country could get sentai to adapt, would or adapt/dub PW or don't have the series at all, THIS IS RIDICULOUS
Anyway that time I looked for sentai but could not find good fansub and watch hearing japanese as reading english was much confusing for that time XD now I don't really care too much and don't get so much to look for a good sub... as a fan, even mad and against the "censoring" thing, I know both have ways to amuse us anyway ....

and btw ... lol

Started watching Super Sentai since Gokaiger, but the series after that was meh to me, so i stopped watching after Toqger ends.
As for Power Rangers, i watched the original Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers up to SPD, except for Time Force and Lightspeed Rescue. But MMPR was the best of all.

But Either way I did like that post
I love power rangers because it's a product of sycophantic right wing pro-Israel lobby http://peacepalestine.blogspot.com/2007/10/saban-power-ranger-and-israel-lobby.html
Very interesting, never knew that

Being a huge fan of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series (Yes, I was the Yellow Ranger for Halloween - my mum made the costume from a pattern - BEST halloween ever with all the candy gotten for that). My friend also went as the Pink Ranger, so that was simply awesome to walk around in costume at school and get all the praise in the world.

I love how silly the storylines were, and my favourite thing was the "evil green Ranger" arc. (I had a Game Gear game at one point - that reminds me, I should make a VC Inject of that. It was awesome fighting the putty patrol and then going into the MegaZord to fight massive versions of monsters.) I also dragged my parents to watch the original movie (that was awful, and even the nut-punt of Ivan Ooze annoyed me). My parents also let me go to a "live action MMPR" show. That was also a big disappointment, as they used a projector to show off the MegaZord transformation AND even the iconic "It's Morphin Time" thing with their badges. All of this made me the biggest Power Rangers fan, even though the "extras" were pretty bad.

One of my friends met the English voice actress for Rita Repulsa and she even did the voice! I was so jealous of her...darn it.

I didn't watch Super Sentai until the later arcs (the one with the morphing sequence when they write the kanji for water, wind, fire and earth). It's a bit too dramatic for me. It's like watching live action anime. Don't get me wrong, anime is awesome, but it's a little too much sometimes.

*pauses typing to watch the new movie trailer*

Okay, so it's later in the MMPR series with the machine empire AND Rita Repulsa's in it? Hmmm...brain is broken.

Your thinking of Samurai Sentai Shinkengers and yea I agree the morphing sequences were unnecessary, that's something that does bother me about Super Sentai they try to act too much like an anime. I didn't know they had movie trailers for the new movie.

I think my favorite out of Power Rangers would be either Ninja Storm, SPD, or Dino Thunder

Or it's like every K-drama out there with unnecessary love triangles, HONOUR and fighting. I think it's a cultural thing too, and MMPR was nicely Westernized. (This Chinese-Canadian chick can't stand to watch Korean/Chinese soap operas. Even Spanish soap operas make me roll my eyes.)
