Hacking OoT3D Gateway save deleted itself.... What are my options?

I posted this yesterday on a different forum; but got no replies. So I decided I would ask here:

So earlier I went to play my 3DS. I always have to do the routine of starting up OoT3D and loading the Gateway save file. Now, for some god damn reason I can't comprehend, the game decided there were no save files anymore and it had to delete everything. So now I can't use my Gateway at all.

I had put the save file on my OoT3D cartridge with the R4i Save Dongle. Sadly, I don't have the Save Dongle anymore as I gave it away long ago, assuming I wouldn't need it ever again. I really wish I hadn't in hindsight. This wouldn't be an issue, in that case.

My question is: Is there any other way for me to use my Gateway without purchasing a new R4i Save Dongle and putting the save file back on my OoT3D cart? I own a New 3DS XL on FW 9.0.0-20U.

Thanks for the help, even if I am screwed

so do you want to use save from your oot3d cart for gateway or the other way around?

I believe there is a option on the gateway launcher menu to backup save from original cart to be used by gateway, try find if there is restore save menu as well (update, there is a menu called restore 3ds save that you can use to restore save file to the original cart)
or use savedatafiler

and there should be a homebrew app to backup/restore save from and to original cart. I'll update the post if I find it

On my OoT3D cart, I had the hacked Gateway save file. I would load the file, then press A once the game loaded up. I would then be brought to the Gateway menu, and launch Gateway mode.

Basically, I can't get into Gateway mode now, which means I can't play my games.

i see, so you're using oot3d as primary exploit to run gateway
in that case, you need to find another alternative to any cfw (or even gateway itself) because you basically cannot do anything outside cfw
i would recommend using something like browserhax to at least boot gateway, and from there you can proceed with steps to restore your saves so you can use oot3d again to boot gateway

Ditch your gateway and get a9lh https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki (or if you want to use it follow this guide after a9lh https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-using-luma3ds-with-gateway-on-v2-a9lh.431691/ )
Or at least use menuhax to boot gateway because booting oothax is a very dumb way boot custom firmware or gateway.

Alright guys, I figured it out! I realized I'm an idiot and the Gateway team included an exploit to launch Gateway from the HBL! I got the newest version of the GW Launcher.dat, and put GW.3dsx and the smdh in my 3ds folder. Can finally launch into Gateway again! Thanks everybody :)
