Hi all,

I recently found out that my grandmother has some (possible Japanese) porcelain in a closet, I asked whether I could make a few pictures, and I was allowed. I think it's handmade, but I got a few questions. So here are the pictures of a backstamp, and the porcelain:

So my question is, is this genuine, and if so from where is this, and which period?
She bought it in a store in Sweden, where they sell stuff which people don't want anymore.

Found out it is Japanese, it reads: 井元 (imoto or inumoto)
Thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,
Procyon

I guess you will need to ask a specialist about this ...
It could be Japanese but it could as well be Chinese even though it does seem to show the Fujiyama.

The Kanji 井元 could be read Imoto (google translator)

Yupe 100% Japanese because of the Fuji mountain behind the tree. Chinese don't use imoto name and yes it's kanji word. Just I don't know it's gunaine or not that all.

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
