I was wondering how to put downloaded .3ds roms onto a hacked cfw running arm9loaderhax. Could someone direct me to a guide or give me instructions.

.3ds files cannot be used on CFWs only on flashcards like Gateway or Sky3ds. .CIA should be the files you are looking for. They install on to the home menu.

If you insist on using .3ds games you need flashcart (like sky3ds). But if you wanna you can transform 3ds games into cia format and then install them. Or just download the cia version of the game. Or even easier just use freeshop to download and install all the cia s u want

i have a question why are cias smaller then roms and are they slimar since roms can be converted into cias
ROM memory is made in powers of two (i.e. 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, etc), while most games are not. A ROM chip of the smallest possible size is used so the game will fit, but that still leaves some unused space left over. Tools that dump ROMs dump the entire chip, even the unused bits (which can be removed through a process called "trimming"). CIAs are basically just files that don't need the extra padding. When converting a ROM to a CIA, the conversion process ignores the unused bits in the ROM, and is never added to the CIA, since it's not needed.

That sums it up.

freeshop downloads eshop games from cdn (nintendo's servers). Their is no way to add 3ds to cia roms.

Well, if you really want something like that, why don't you create a .3DS freeShop and set up the servers to host the .3DS ROMs?
