ROM Hack [Help Request] One Piece Super Grand Battle X Translation

Hello GBATemp,

i was looking into translate the latest One Piece 3DS game, but I have no clue how to edit the files! They are almost all packed in ".jARC"-File, which can be unpacked through a QuickBMS script (Found here: http://aluigi.altervista.org/papers/bms/others/jarc.bms)

However, when unpacked, the .jARC contains alot of other files which have different ".j*"-Extension.
For example: ".jIMG, .jMDL, .jTEX, .jMSG, etc."

Is there anyone who knows how to make those files editable? (convert them to .png/.bmp and then back to compile it again)

well it looks like the jARC files are encripted i think you need to decript that to you code try and A google it or serch gbatemp for a tool B if no one has anything for that file type well try and decript is your self and make a tool with amazing programing skills u got btw i tryed EFE and Ohana3DS Rebirth for you it dusent work thats all the tools ik relly sorry

Told in the thread that the .jARC files can be unpacked with a QuickBMS Script, it will output you files but which are ".jIMG" etc.etc. read the post above.

I'm considering translating menu images for this in January. The ui gets changed a lot by the amiibo update patch so any work done in this should start there.

the game is great i don't why it hasn't been translated yet i found a tool that will help us translate the menu since all of the menu are images so if you want we can open project to start translating this game and im going to look for translator's in one piece forums to help us translate the game.

I'm currently finishing up another translation of a 3DS game. It's about 90% done. Hoping to release that this month. That's why I posted that if I did any work on this it'd probably be just the image menus (most likely) and not until January. But if you make some progress on this making a project thread wouldn't be a bad idea. I'd wait and see if you can do some work with it first before making a new thread though.
