Don't follow video tutorials, they are often outdated and even incorrect. No safe guide should ever tell you to downgrade sysNAND directly, ESPECIALLY the n3ds. Follow the guide I linked instead, it is much safer and takes all safety precautions to make sure you don't brick your system. n3ds on 2.1 is very unstable and prone to bricking (even to the point where a hardmod won't save you), plus you should never use downgrade files from an untrusted source. Just follow the guide posted above, it is much quicker, much safer and much easier to use as long as you read each step. Since you told me you were on 9.2, you can start here:

No, with what you are doing you can brick beyond even repairing with hardmod, which is what you have.

How do I access all the titles on the eShop? I'm comparing my o3ds with Luma3ds cfw on fw11.1 with my gf's n3ds xl eShop and she has access to gams but all I have access to is game updates. I've tried accessing the eShop by homebrew and by the normal app on the system menu. Any help would be appreciated.

I have another question. If my gf buys pokemon y (U) through the eShop and I have a pokemon x (region free) can we still trade, battle with each other and participate in what ever else multiplayer aspect of the game they have?

this game is not region-specific. most games can play with the same ones in other regions anyway.

Does region free matter if you're playing a EU (region free) version of the game on a NA console or playing a EU version with someone who has a NA game and console? If this is an obvious question I'm sorry this is my first modded handheld and and used to consoles. On the Wii I understood game specific regions usually had different game mechanics albeit closely similary but not sure when it comes it pokemon.

-on 9.2
-did plailect's guide
-restored emunand to sysnand, per guide
-updated firmware to 11.1. working perfectly.
-on the dumping health&safety step
-gives:
"Code / Crypto: CTR-N-HACE / 7x
slot0x25keyX not set up
This won't work on 03DS < 7.x or A9LH
Health&Safety Dump: Failed!"

I'm on New3dsxl, and everything seems to be running fine. boots fine, no problems. aeskeydb.bin is in the appropriate folder.

hs.app was created, but I certainly don't feel comfy going further without confirmation. I didn't think it'd help, but I slapped the two slot0x files on the microsd. totally didn't help. I'm guessing this has something to do with emunand injection, as my other new3ds on 9.2 was fine and dandy.

Any advice on how I should proceed?

After copying back all my files over, and downloading straight from the github for hourglass, it worked! No clue which aspect mattered, but I can progress as normally now =]

When I check that title key site's rss feed I see newer stuff than I see on my freeshop... I have it set to download the latest key via that qr code.. Is this normal? Am I missing out on new titles? The latest title I see is Dragon Quest VII.

Just got a n3ds on 10.7, followed the guide by Plailect for the browser, it gave me the internet browser can't be used at this time, google it and find some thread say that change dns to tubehax etc, did that and now I got a browser need update. Guess it's over for me until I find another entry point?

you can get any cheap secondary game then, instead of hunting down one of the primary ones. set up the hax with your Old3DS.
