It's bad enough as it is but Nintendo was even more lazy to not include everything that was needed to play offline? Sorry people without internet, you can't play the game you bought.

Yeah, nah. You need internet to download from eShop. You don't need it for retail discs.

That'd be the stupidest decision to make to force you to be online to play. There is still a sizable amount of users who don't connect their game consoles to the internet, typically casuals and families, which surprise surprise, is what Nintendo is all about these days.

Paper Colour Splash Rescue V is a special Paper Mario Episode to eshop only, the same as The Cat Mario Show Episodes was, you need an internet connection to access eshop to watch it, it has nothing to do with the actual release of the Paper Mario Colour Splash game, its completely separate! some people

To add some point, I'm infinitely glad internet access isn't required for games to play. Heck, even splatoon has something to do without internet. Coming from a rural area where 15GB for 60 bucks a month is cheap, PS4 and Xone just aren't doable.

I'm quite hoping the NX continues to not require internet.

Also, is color splash going to be that bad? I really miss my Mario RPG and initial gameboy games.

Yes. There has been plenty of footage of it, and the one and only new character is that lame bucket assistant. You can be rest assured that, just like Sticker Star and Paper Jam, it will be devoid of an interesting and suspenseful plot and memorable NPCs.

I really miss my Mario RPG and initial gameboy games.

It appears that we will be left with no choice but to replay old titles from now on if we want to enjoy good Mario RPGs. Who knows, perhaps Nintendo's newfound disinterest in producing good Mario RPGs will finally lead to more people reverse engineering the old titles to find new ways to mod them (especially the Mario & Luigi titles, where almost no mods and modding tools exist yet).
