I know !Errmmm... Arm9LoaderHax is for 3DS, whereas IOSU is for Wii U.
You have the complete wrong end of the stick there, my friend...
A9lh is dependent on the user's unique Otp. iosu is universal and can be patched in an update afaik. so a9lh is more secure but im not sure about iosuLogically, arm9loaderhax is the best because is a hax on the SysNAND.
Because the IOSU hack is a RedNAND hack, am I right ?
arm9loaderhax is also software, it's just extremely difficult, if not impossible, to patch once installed (you can patch installing it though)a9lh possibly because its a hardware relient hack. iosu is an exploit in the software that can be patched afaik.
It's worth considering 3DS is actually profitable for Nintendo and therefore merits them putting actual effort into preventing piracy, while the Wii U wasn't generating any revenue in the first placeIt's best to compare arm9 kernel with IOSU kernel.
They both allow full access to the system... but what baffles me is why a vanilla 3DS on 11.1 only has userland home brew but the latest Wii U version has a kernel exploit to allow cheating and pirating...
isnt the otp from the hardware?arm9loaderhax is also software, it's just extremely difficult, if not impossible, to patch once installed (you can patch installing it though)
The closest thing to a hardware hack would be a bootrom exploit.
Sort of, but the only thing we use the OTP for is encrypting the keystore.isnt the otp from the hardware?
ah i seeSort of, but the only thing we use the OTP for is encrypting the keystore.
IOSUHax exists, it just hasn't been publicly released.A9LH is better, because it actually exists
