I successfully installed browserhax using the phailect guide, had homebrew working, freeshop, etc. had a bunch of .cia games manually installed on the sd card. Everything worked beautifully.

Today I put a bunch more .cia files onto the sd card, did fbi injector to get them onto my home menu. Then I manually put some more into my sd card, disabled Internet, turned internet back on, and now all of my cws stuff is gone (no fbi injector, no homebrew, no luma, no freeshop). Almost all of the games I got from freeshop are gone. Only thing left are the .cia games that I already injected, and they still work.

What did I do wrong, and how can I get the cws stuff back? I guess my firmware is 11.0 now.

Ok I get it

What did I do wrong, and is there any way to reinstall my cws stuff?

Yeah, there is, to reinstall the games, look for something called "eShop" on the Home Menu, it's AWESOME! You put your credit card on your account and you can get any 3DS game! :3

Joking of course, but it's strange that turning off the WIFI would cause this, did you turn off your 3DS before or after the WIFI toggle and were they there after or before either?

I did the Phailect guide. So I guess browserhax? 3ds was on 10.7 when I went through the guide.
Have you done the entire guide? Including the OTP dump and arm9loaderhax install?

I installed several batches of .cia files manually to my sd card today. Everything was fine until I had turned off Internet. At least I think so, but POOF, everything disappeared.

Yeah I think so. Whatever the phailect guide makes you do. 10.7 to 9.2 and then back to 11.0, right?
What is the current settings enabled in LUMA? is "force sysnand" checked?

I have Luma v6.1.2

The following are checked - I do not see one called "force sysnand":
- Autoboot SysNand
- use SysNand Firm if booting with R (a9lh)
- show current NAND in system settings
- show GBA boot screen in patched agb_firm

Autoboot. My bad.

have you tried unchecking this option? It should boot EMUNAND (if you have it), if I remember correctly.

Guys this is like a bad dream. Everything was working perfectly, I just wanted to add a few more old games to compete my collection.

I guess luckily some of it still works, but I really need to get this stuff back.

Just tried it. Same result, all of the CWS stuff is gone

Don't panic. As long as you have a9lh and luma CFW, all of this stuff is recoverable. If you followed the Plailect guide EXACTLY, you should still have either Decrypt9 or Hourglass9 set up to boot when you hold Start while powering on the system.

1) Make sure you have the newest version of the FBI CIA file on your PC.
2) Make sure you have Universal Inject Generator on your PC. Both FBI and UIG can be found in the Plailect guide, and they will be reasonably up-to-date, if not the latest. Or you can search the forums here for the latest versions.
3) Hold Start while powering on your 3DS to boot either Decrypt9 or Hourglass9 (Either one will work, it doesn't matter which one you use).
4) Select "SysNAND Options".
5) If using Hourglass9, Select "Health&Safety Dump", then skip step 6. If using Decrypt9, select "Miscellaneous".
6) If using Decrypt9, select "Health&Safety Dump".
7) Select a name for the dump file by using Left or Right on the D-Pad. Default is "hs.app".
8) Wait for the dump to complete.
9) Press B to return to the Decrypt9/Hourglass9 menu, then Left on the D-Pad and Start to power off.
10) Remove the back battery cover on your 3DS and remove the microSD. Insert the microSD into your PC.
11) Copy the hs.app file and the FBI CIA to the "input" folder in your Universal Inject Generator directory on your PC. Delete any old versions of the files "FBI_inject_no_banner.app" and "FBI_inject_with_banner.app".
12) Go up one level to the UIG directory and run "go.bat" (or "go.sh") and wait for it to finish.
13) You should now have two new files in the UIG directory; "FBI_inject_no_banner.app" and "FBI_inject_with_banner.app". Pick one and copy it to the files9 directory on the 3DS microSD.
14) Eject the microSD, put it back in the 3DS (I close the back cover, just in case).
15) Hold Start while turning the power on to boot Decrypt9/Hourglass9.
16) Select "SysNAND Options".
17) Decrypt9: "Miscellaneous"/"Health&Safety Inject"; Hourglass9: "Health&Safety Inject"
18) Select the version of "FBI_Inject.app" you placed in the files9 directory.
19) When the inject is finished, press Start to reboot.

You now have FBI in place of the Health & Safety app on your 3DS. If this seems familiar, you did this as part of the Plailect guide when installing a9lh. You may use this version of FBI to re-install anything missing, including FBI and Freeshop. You can re-inject Health & Safety by repeating steps 15-19 above, selecting "hs.app" instead of "FBI_inject_x.app", but you may want to keep it that way just in case.

thanks for the post, bahamut920, I tried your directions (I have hourglass on my system) and it's still the same result. No FBI app shows up on the home screen once its finished. I will try again tomorrow, using the exact same steps.

When you go over to the Health & Safety app (the yellow triangle with the exclamation point), what does it show you? Starting that should bring up FBI, which will allow you to install CIAs. You can then use it to install the FBI CIA "legitimately" so it shows up on the Home Menu.

If you mean that nothing you install with the H&S FBI app shows up, that may mean a problem with your microSD. Try removing it from the 3DS, connecting it to your PC, right-clicking on the SD Card icon, then finding the "check for errors" option (which should be under the "Tools" tab in the "Properties" menu, IIRC). You can also try copying everything on your microSD to your PC, formatting the microSD (if you have a microSD bigger than 32GB, be sure you format it as FAT32, not exFAT), then moving everything back.
