Do you guys think i might be able to find a used iphone 5 for 50-100$ usd with out any major issues?

You'd be lucky to get one for $100, and even then it'd be a 5C.
look for a cheap Android phone instead

If it costs you under $80 total. Probably. Otherwise I'd hold out for a good deal on a 5 or 5s.

I'd suggest you buy one that isn't broken and isn't an auction.
