Because I decided to update to it on my 3dses and they work normally but it's not officially released so...I'm wondering if it could have a bad effect on my Nand in the long run?
Because the only A9LH sysnand backups I have are those with said A9LH...so if I need to go back the most recent backup is the one I made after I updated the A9LH or my 11.0 emunand before I flashed it to Sysnand at the end of Plailect's guide...

I have no official A9LH backups anymore...

Been using it for a while now. It works fine and the only problem i have is that if i boot without sd card then the next time i turn it on with sd card all my games become gifts that I have to unwrap and put back into their folders. (Which isn't easy if you have ~200 titles installed.)

I've run her version and ShadowNAND for quite some time now. I've suffered no ill effects nor have I had any problems with them. Plus they do add another layer of protection by adding the Firm0/1 protection straight to the NAND.

I wanted to go from screeninit A9LH to no-screeninit and decided that i might as well update to the SD less version...in case my SD card slot/Sd card breaks...

Edit: If something is written into the NAND doesn't it use up the Nand faster?

Screen init and non screen init has been merged with sdless a9lh so adding _si to your arm9loaderhax.bin will turn screen init on.
As for the nand part the payload that is stored in nand is pretty small and the payload is replaced when you update a9lh.

Your concern with NAND wearing down is not needed. NAND gets written to every time you boot the console. At any rate when was the last time you fried an SD card by using it too much? You won't fry the NAND, don't worry. It takes some unseasonably excessive usage to do so

the only issue i know of is that you can't start DS cartridge (flashcard included) games, it would error out on you (that only applies if there is no SD card (or no payload on the SD card) at boot time, since otherwise it would try to load the default payload)

Well if there are issues they are pretty minor. It's way better than the 3DS automatically powering off if it finds no arm9 payload in the SD.
So it's supposed to be only a backup solution. No one installs a CFW just to run the 3DS without an SD card.

No need to individually unwrap. Use Cthulu.

You can back up your home menu layout including folders without even needing homebrew (official instructions from Ninty are here) and then restore it should that happen. While you will still have to unwrap everything it should restore all the games you had at the time of the backup to their proper folders.

I feel so enlightened now, thanks for the solution guys!

That is correct. Though most people will only be using it as a backup for CFW in case they do something like accidentally delete/rename arm9loaderhax.bin while away from home. But IMO I would rather have a mini-cfw that mostly worked besides DS backups than have what is essentially a brick until I can fix the contents of the SD card.
Edit: To clarify I mean DS backups as in the ones on my flashcard. There still isn't a way to play backups from the 3ds SD. Just so no one gets confused.

I rather have reliable memory cards that aren't SD :P
Seriously, they are not reliable, i rather keep important files on a MP3 Player than those things. But i also rather have a working verified stable release.
