The data abort issue has been fixed in the latest nightly http://astronautlevel2.github.io/Luma3DS/
I still recommend that the affected people install an untouched Home Menu .cia and an untouched NS .cia (get them with 3DNUS) as you still have the pre-patched ones...

Was that for N3DS only? I didn't get that on my O3DS XL

at least our experiment works @Aurora Wright ...and i can say you i never used a Home menu prepatched ...i always use original one home menu. Now it work great like our last try.

You must have installed it and forgot about it (it was months ago, in March). Trust me, to reproduce the crash I had to apply that same patch via Luma

No need for that, you can just download it from the NUS. Use 3DNus with the title ID and version from 3dbrew.

I have a problem to report;

My 3DS is a n3DSXL.

I was on Luma 6.1.1 and I decided to update to 6.1.2 but my 3DS wouldn't boot, so I tried an hourly build but I encountered a weird problem: My top screen flashes but only the edges.

No, it isn't.


It can be SysNAND with SysNAND FIRM (Sys), SysNAND with EmuNAND FIRM (SysE), EmuNAND with EmuNAND FIRMM (Emu) or even EmuNAND with SysNAND FIRM iirc (EmuS)

No its still writing/reading to/from sysNAND, but it's using the FIRM from emunand.
