My 3DS had the rubber circle pad thing bit off by my very young niece when i let the kids play with it and the main part is starting to show wear.I ordered a replacement part already but need to know what tools i need.

Will these ones in this pic work?I am thinking of ordering these. The screwdrivers are a Tri-wing Screwdriver & Micro Phillips.

Edit:I already have a small screwdriver for battery replacements but it doesn't seem to fit the screws under the plate. It can remove the back plate just fine.

If you have to buy a screwdriver, buy a proper one (JIS 00)!
Phillips will only work if you press down really hard, or it will damage the screws really quickly

There are no triwings in 3DSes.

How are you going to replace the cap? The cap is built into the plastic case, so I don't think you can just pop a new one on if the top half breaks off.

Yeah, that's what I mean. That rubber cap is built into the case. It can't be inserted or removed whole.
it's not built into the case, it can be easily removed by sliding from the notch in the pad itself (imagine arms of barbie dolls with small notches to be inserted to the main trunk of the toy)

this vid is for the 3ds reg, and new should be similar to this procedure.
