Hacking Flashcart to run 3ds and ds games?

Hi im new to this,

I used to have a ds that had cyclods evolution to run my ds games, i no longer have this but have recently bought a new 3ds and would like to know what flashcart would be best to run both 3ds and ds games

If you want flashcard, get Gateway, but I would recommend you to buy 32/64 GB memory card and install CFW. It's much cheaper and probably easier way. For cfw you need only memory card and watching youtube videos or reading skills:d

You don't even need to spend money on a flashcard, you can install all games (3ds gba gbc SNES) you want for free with CFW! The only thing you need is the ability to read and follow instructions and some time! You do need a flashcard for nds games though.

Can i install CFW on the latest official firmware?

Also is it not possible to emulate ds on custom firmware at this current time?

You will require a hardmod or an already-CFW'ed 3DS (cannot be done over the internet) on 11.0, and we still have to use flashcards for now; I recommend http://nds-card.com because they're GBATemp sponsors and trusted sellers.
Honestly? I'd recommend getting a hardmod still; it's still cheaper than a Sky3DS (which is what you'd need on 11.0) and MUCH easier now.

You're on latest firmware. So your only option is to hardmod or wait for softmod to come or if you don't want to wait or don't want to use hardmod. Then go get a sky3ds flashcart. That is the only cart which support latest firmware.

A hardmod is something that allows you to read and write the NAND; the Guide we use has a helpful tutorial for this. IK in Britain it costs £20 + delivery to and from someone here who's name I cant remember.
And no flashcart supports 3DS+DS - you need 2; one for DS and one for 3DS.

For 3DS in your Firmware you can use Sky3DS and for DS any Flashcart that can run in your Firmware will work, R4i Gold 3DS from r4ids.cn or SueprCard DSTwo for example work in lastest firmware.
