I have only been here about 3 months. So please understand. (No it was not a iwata impression) So excuse me if i don't get this yet.

1. Is gbatemp at war with game faqs?
2. Why are people like spammers leaving comments disputing the difference between a9lh users and Gateway users?
3. What the heck is going on?

I dunno why but many people here seem to have hostility to gamefaqs, i don't know why. I don't know if the spammers are actualy human or bots spoutin nonsense but they seem really upset about how someone thinks about a9lh or gateway, and i just want clearence on this situation.

So far i know a9lh = arm9loaderhax is a common way to run free CFW such as lumaCFW, cakes, corbenik etc. which was made by community members here like @Aurora Wright @chaoskagami and @mid-kid It has features like region free, homebrew, cia installation, and other stuff.

Gateway is a $80 flashcart that instead of using cia files to install games, it uses 3DS files and runs like any other flashcart. You insert the micro sd card into the cart and insert it into system. There may be more i dunno but i do know it has cheat creation and such but not important.

I just wanna wanna know what i asked. Are we at war with other sites?

I don't undestand comments like "Install a9lh and throw away the gateway"

A9LH (arm9loaderhax, aka kernal9loaderhax) is a hack early in the boot process that is commonly used to load CFW, making CFW booting very reliable and fast. Installing it, however, was not reliable at first. It resulted in lots of bricks due to semi-stable tools and not having a catch-all guide.

Gateway was the first CFW, except it's based around the flashcart. It eventually got the ability to install cia files, and current CFW's came afterward. They get so much hate because of some questionable business practices, but it's beyond me why they get as much hate as they do. (It's also beyond me why people keep installing their A9LH solution that's clearly not intended for general use. People just don't make sense sometimes.)

While the spammer was right, to an extent, it was a combination of spam and hate (the kind of hate that Gateway receives).

I don't think this is the result of a war. If anything, it's a civil war between some relatively small factions of GBAtemp. It's best to just report that kind of thing, then ignore it.

At war? thats a strong word, and i dont think thats part of gbatemp core use anyway, to be at war and stuff... People discuss and over react and think its funny to spam, I dont.
As for your setup, prefered flashcarts or what have you, i really think each person has its own priorities.
I for myself love the GateWay flashcart and i love A9LH. But i really think GW's Fast Boot bullshit is causing more headaches than it should...

Exactly, the first "Real" cfw, was GovanifY and Palentine Cfw ;D, using the Spider exploit, later using MSET.

Regardless if is he or she, (I saw she in my notifications) I wasn't trying to give attention. I was just concerned about the site. I Don't always know what goes on and i am part of this site now i just wanted to be informed.

So is just people upset about a9lh and or gateway. Perhaps war isn't the best word. I used war since it does contribute strong dislike at something, which seem to be the case. If i was inaccurate to use war, perhaps dispute or being offended. Anyway thanks for some insight.... if i honestly would call it that.
