Hi, so what will happen if after I finish the guide , I accidentally lost the otp.bin file or my sd card get lost or damaged and I don't have a backup for the sd card or otp.bin file . Does that mean that my 3ds is screwed forever , because the 3ds will not even bootup without that sd card ???

I already made a backup , but just a question in mind , because thinking of my 3ds depending on this file is really making me scared of what will happen if it get lost

you can technically loose the sd card too, you'd just have to set it up with the right files again and redownload all your stuff.

still, making a few backups on memory sticks and dropbox can't hurt

By the right files you mean my own otp file that is exclusive to my device or those files that I can get from the net anywhere like the luma files and extra

as far as i understood, once you have a9hl installed, you dont need otp anymore (appart maybe from updating a9hl in the future or something maybe). so you'd just have to put back the right folders and files from the end of the guide

Files and folders to keep on your SD card:
3ds
files9
hblauncher
luma
Nintendo 3DS
arm9loaderhax.bin
boot.3dsx

OK , I read that too. That means no file is special to my own 3ds ,all those files and folders ,I can make or get from the net anywhere . That's great

yep. still, just for convenience, it wouldn't hurt to buy 2 cheap usb sticks to backup everything and place them, say, where you put your games

I uploaded it to my external hard drives. And also to onedrive and google drive. They're tiny files so i figured why not.
