Like, there is no way to play DS roms without a flashcart.
Im pretty sure its extremely straightforwars and easy to convert a nds into a cia, but the issue is mist nds files arent compatible and will white screen. All ds games and some ds homebrew that require certain abilities only flashcarts can provide will give an error, but an exclusive few, i can really name any off of tje top of my head work as a converted cia. Say portal ds doesnt work, but wood dumper does.As of yet, there are very few DS(i) mode homebrew installable on the 3DS - the only two I can think of are that action replay alternative, and that launcher for blocked flashcarts.
NDS games are made to executed exclusively from a cartridge. I'm not a developer, so I don't know how hard it is to bundle a .nds file into a .cia, but clearly it's not very straightforward, or there would probably be a converter by now.
Not to mention that the only practical and legal DS(i) mode homebrew for 3DS will probably involve passing code execution to the cartridge, something that DS programs are absolutely not made to do.
I wouldn't consider a successful conversion if the app doesn't launch properly.Im pretty sure its extremely straightforwars and easy to convert a nds into a cia, but the issue is mist nds files arent compatible and will white screen. Like I said, I've never tried doing it at all, personally - my flashcart gets the job done a lot easier (which I imagine is why there's so little development).Did you guys try patching the DLDIs before running them on the 3DS? Might not solve all problems, but could mitigate some problems with accessing the filesystem. More on that here: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/DLDI
