i think sometimes account, and sometimes account+console :(
i have never been banned though, so i don't know too much about it.
but, yeah it is (or it was) common enough for careless people to get banned on ps3
oh,i really hope they won't touch my account,i paid shit tons of money on it,my PS3 and Vita games and i still have 2 years of plus on it.
50 PS3 games
35 Vita games
and not counting the plus games...shit.

if i connect my Vita to my PS3 (my PS3 is not modded) to transfer my games using the old method of QCMA and PS3,you think they can detect the Vita?

if you transfer via ps3 i think you are very safe yes.
i want to wait a month and see if anyone gets banned. if i had lots of money spent on my account i would be more careful than i am, more of a risk, if no backups.
you can do it on the vita with psn access through henkaku...
maybe nothing to worry about, but it's your choice if you want to risk it. the first ban might never come, or it might be soon.

Thats alottt of games wow, But i doubt they would start banning for use of modded consoles..Then again I think they ban on PS3 if its modded. Even if your not doing much with it.

if i remember correctly, the majority of ps3 ban reports i heard about was from online cheating. then again, i think sony updated their servers to detect certain files on a ps3 system, such as CFW files, and ban them in that method

Edit: and looking back a couple pages about if sony can tell the difference between digital and carts for trophy syncing, i think safest way to avoid any hassle is to try and find backups that use the same region as your inventory. if you live in the US, find US backups, and try not to have any EU backups thrown in the mix

i'm not sure if US and EU trophies would share the same listing, or separate for different regions, but i'd try to keep it to one country if possible

It wasn't just cheating , if you don't disable the sys_calls using some homebrew (PsNpatch) , Sony Will detect you're using a cfw / that you have homebrew installed and ban you in few days , I remember getting banned for playing Cod online , Anyway if you want my advice , Never take your Vita online and never sync your trophies , it's not worth the Risk.

Typically bans come from modding....I got my PS3 banned for using a modded EBOOT on Call of Duty Advanced Warfare (i wasn't even on multiplayer, I had just finished playing Destiny and forgot to disconnect from PSN before loading up Call of Duty Advanced Warfare). I played Advanced Warfare campaign with infinite ammo and other mods and next day, I went to go play Destiny to find out my console had been banned. It was just the console that got banned, not my PSN account. I read on Reddit someone did get banned b/c of the Adventure Time game ( https://www.reddit.com/r/VitaPiracy/comments/50o6z6/can_i_make_a_unofficial_patch_for_codbo/ ) ...granted he never said if that was a Vita ban or account ban. However, that Adventure Time game wasn't ever meant to be public either
