Gaming Do you think Mega evolutions will return in Pokemon Sun and Moon?

thats a feature, and a very expensive one. I dont think theyll throw away all the models and competitive side is also...
also whats "...will return"? they are in current gen, the trailers mosta time mean nothing...

I could see it both ways it retuning and it not returning. If I were to guess I think it would because some pokemon are entitled to megas like the Johto, Sinnoh, Unova, and kalos starters. However some megas are just broken and too strong. I feel gamefreak should just have a battle format for megas and another with no megas, that way everyone is happy and new megas can be added and if you weren't a fan of megas you wont have to deal with them.

They have put themselves in a corner only giving some pokemon megas. In my opionion they should have megas evos for all pokemon, however that causes its own problems and makes battling way to crazy. Imagine having 700+ pokemon being able mega and having to understand how they change and how to counter each one, it would be too much but its still not right to have some megas but not all.

I read a rumor about the Z bracelet having the ability to hold mega stones and initiate mega evolution, allowing for megas to have hold items like Mega Rayquaza. That would be wicked, but it's a rumor, so not giving my hopes up. I think they'll reveal megas returning, I am not so sure about new ones, because these Alolan forms are taking over where Mega reveals left off in the lead up to the Gen VI games.

You understand its only one Mega Pokémon per battle. You can't have a whole team of Mega formed pokemon if that's what your thinking.

Of course I was just meant if you go into a full battle any one of their 6 pokemon could be their potential mega which would be annoying.

I highly doubt they're going to ditch megas, the trailers are going to be showing off new content and features not old ones.

Only final evos should get mega.. which means only half of the pokemons... not that it is a small number...

It's really unbalanced, and if megas already making us narrow down our picking (because having a mega in your team is almost a necessity) then this will narrow it down even more....

it'll return and there wil be even more alt forms of mega evoutions, like primal evolutions.

its just not gonna be as front and center as the last games. and we have new pokemon to show this time, unlike with ORAS, where the only new thing were mega forms

I as well wasn't a fan of the Z moves they do look cool but I don't want to have to deal with them online just make it story only.

I hope they dont comeback. It was way to out of the line for me, and they have prepared the terrain for the case they dont wont to leave megas on the game anymore, as you cant transfer megastones in any way. Also Z moves sounds more intersting.

You can also have female protagonist with a bigger bust, 999 masterballs, 6 IV Pokémon, etc

Don't put mods/cheats into a discussion about legitimacy, this isn't the matrix.
