So I recently did a failed 9.2 downgrade, and had to update back to 10.3, but now I'm kinda stuck, as BrowserHax doesn't(?) work now.
So although I probably know the answer, is there any alternative to buying OoT3D or Cubic Ninja?

I'm using a n3DS by the way.

But it gives me the update warning when I launch the web browser, and I thought the bypass was patched?

What do you mean by failed downgrade? Does it still boot to home menu?
Yeah, I meant that the System Menu said 9.2.0-20U, but the console itself acted like it wasn't downgraded (such as FBI and CFW's not working properly)

DO NOT UPDATE!

Set your time and date to 1/1/2000

Just open the browser and click on "settings", scroll down to "clear save data"and click it.

You'll return to home menu.

Activate your camera and launch the QR code for the browserhax, it'll open the browser and ask you to set things anew, after it'll launch the homebrew, ;)

Instructions
  1. Copy the contents of the starter folder in starter.zip to the root of your SD card, then put the SD card back into your 3DS
  2. Open the theme menu, change your theme to any other theme, then switch back. This will initialize the theme data and is required
  3. Launch the Settings application
  4. Change the date to January 1, 2000
  5. Change the time to 00:00
  6. Launch the browser, then open the browser settings as fast as possible
  7. Scroll to the bottom and Initialize Savedata (it also may be called Clear All Save Data) as fast as possible
  8. Navigate to http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax_auto.php or scan the QR code on your 3DS (if you get a slider, zoom all the way in on it, then tap the very right edge of it; this can take quite a few tries)

  9. Your console should load the homebrew menu
  10. Open the menuhax_manager application
  11. Press A to install, it may show some errors but that's fine as long as it shows "Success" towards the end

Do I need to use a freshly formatted SD card?
I tried using my existing one and it still gives me the update error after doing this.

I found that it's better to start the Guide (and any other I might follow) with the console stocked (system settings formatted and clean formatted SD Card)

Less errors.

I just formatted my 3DS and SD card, and still get the same error after setting the date. :\
I guess I'm probably better off purchasing OoT at this point.
