Title says it all. Want to know if it's possible to transfer saves/blocks on to the PC Dolphin emulator so I wont have to start all over again when playing GameCube ISOs.

Nintendont:
If you don't know, Nintendont is a homebrew application that lets you play Nintendo GameCube ISOs on the Wii and Wii U. Nintendont contains a feature where it emulates the GameCube memory card, (also known as NMM); and tricks the system into thinking there is a memory card inserted on the Wii. I have used this feature several times when playing some GameCube ISOs, but I don't know if I can transfer those saves. Nintendont usually saves the files within the USB file path used for GameCube ISOs, (:/saves). Each ISO saved with NMM, (No More Memory Card) has their own .raw file; which I'm guessing is the actual save of the game.

How would I transfer these saves from Nintendont to the Dolphin emulator?

GameCube Memory Card:
I have two GameCube memory cards with saved blocks on them and I don't know how I'm supposed to transfer those blocks onto my PC so Dolphin can read them. Is there some sort of adapter needed, or would I use my Wii?

Thanks in advance.

I guess if you have a wii (With gamecube support) you can use a save manager homebrew for game cube memory cards.:)

Of course if you have only gamecube with a sd card support for loading homebrew that works too. Use a memory card manager homebrew.

I'm going off of memory as I did this like a year ago, but if I recall there is a homebrew program you can use to dump your physical memory card saves to a storage device. From there you can just load it up into Dolphin with no configuration if I recall

For Nintendont's digital saves I'm not entirely sure

Back then I what I did was take a downloaded save for an 100% completed Smash Bros. Melee, and through the use of Dolphin (I think) and homebrew was able to transfer the save to a real memory card

I'm sorry that I don't offer much in the ways of help but it's at least possible!

Download this tool http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GCMM (LINK ON THE RIGHT)

Then put it on the sd card, use homebrew channel to load it.

Dump the memory cards to SDCARD or USB DRIVE

Then load the file inside of dolphin with the memory card manager.

If your using nintendon't memory card emulator, then just copy the memory card files to dolphin and load it in the emulator. :)

Wow, I never knew an application like this was made; especially for the Wii! Thank you, @Sonic Angel Knight and @anthonyplep for the information. I'll try it out once I have the time. :yaywii:

Do you use the homebrew browser on your wii? It has lots of homebrew you can download to the system. :)

Try looking through it sometimes, you might find lots of fun things. It has option to change servers it connects to but usually don't have much like the main one. I think they should have least kept updating it with new content seeing how wiiflow, and hid isn't on their at all or the updated emulators. :D

The thing is, my Homebrew Browser hasn't been working for about a year now. When I try to access it, it keeps bringing up a server connection error of some sort. Been looking for a way on how to fix it, but I then decided to drop on it since I barely used it.

Is your wifi settings set up properly? If not, you should try fixing it.

Also maybe delete the config data and just keep the boot.dol with the icon.png and meta.xml to be sure.

WiFi settings are good; so I may just need to follow your advice.
Or I can just manually install GCMM from the WiiBrew wiki and move it to my SD card ;)

Well sure, but just cause you can install it to sd card from wii brew, doesnt mean you fixed homebrew browser.... So while your at it try installing homebrew browser from wiibrew as well :)

Having the homebrew browser is optional, is iinstalled when you put homebrew channel on the system, but not required, is just nicer to have homebrew installation without needed to eject the sdcard every time to go to your pc and do it.

I know, I was just trying to make a somewhat, sarcastic joke, but I guess it didn't work. XD

Thank you for the suggestion though.

Nintendont does not use NMM, NMM is actually the memory card emulation used in DIOS MIOS, which instead of emulating an entire memory card as a file, just writes individual saves to files. Nintendont emulates an entire memory card for each game, which works much better than the one used in DIOS MIOS. Dolphin's Memory Card Manager feature is able to open this file and let you copy/move saves into Dolphin's own memory card file. I'm not sure if it's able to read a Nintendont memory card file if you just replace Dolphin's existing one, so best move your saves from one to the other.
As for the real memory cards, you can dump the full card as a raw file with GCMM or dump the .gci files individually, either way you can import the files with dolphin's memory card manager.

Oh okay, I didn't read the whole thread before replying.
Feel free to ignore me then. :P
Is okay i don't always do that either. So is okay to keep sharing since repetitive could help people either remember or get the message across.... as long as everyone is saying the same stuff. :D

All right, so I tested out all the suggestions you guys gave me and here are the results, (this may help out other users with the same problem as well):

1. Nintendont (Transferring .raw GameCube Save Files to PC/Dolphin):

- Method Status: Works! :yay:

Following @The Real Jdbye suggestion, I went to my PC, inserted my USB, (which contained my GameCube ISOs and .raw files), opened up the Dolphin emulator, and navigated towards: Tools --> Memcard Manager (GC) --> Browse --> and selected Dolphins default memory card, (MemoryCardA.USA.raw). I then used the second memory card slot, (slot B) to browse for the corresponding .raw file, (used Animal Crossing as a test example). After that, I imported the .raw save file as a GCI save; clicking, "Convert to GCI". Tested it out and it worked!
__________

2. GameCube Memory Cards (Transferring Blocks/Saves to PC/Dolphin):

- Method Status: Works! :yay:

After @Sonic Angel Knight gave me his suggestion on using GCMM, I manually installed it and opened it up via the Homebrew Channel. Then, I inserted my memory cards and pressed y/- to backup/copy my save data on to my SD card. Once the backup was complete, I ejected my SD card from my Wii, inserted it on to my PC, opened up Dolphin, and navigated towards: Tools --> Memcard Manager (GC) --> Browse --> and selected Dolphins default memory card, (MemoryCardA.USA.raw). After that, I clicked on, "<- Import GCI" and went to the SD card directory: :/MCBACKUP to select my .cgi file. Tested it out and it worked as well!

Found a video after testing it out if anyone needs help with this method visually:

__________

3. Homebrew Browser Sever Connection Error:

- Method Status: Did not work!

Keeps coming up with this error; even on the latest version from WiiBrew - @Sonic Angel Knight:

4. About Wii & WiiWare Games:
- Can you transfer save files from Wii and WiiWare games to Dolphin as well?

Use the wii settings to transfer save data to the sd card only.

Some saves (example super smash bros brawl) have copy protection) So i think you need a save manager for it.

Also try holding button number 1 or 2 on the screen where you are getting errors for homebrew browser.

Holding the button numbers 1 and 2 on the Wii remote don't work. Button 1 tries to connect to offline mode; while button 2 attempts to connect to the CodeMii repository. But, after waiting a while, I received another error titled, "Requesting Homebrew List... Using Homebrew List on file. Homebrew List file can't be found". I don't know if it's because I have deleted something off of my SD card, but I may just leave it aside for now.

Also, is there a list of Wii/WiiWare games that contain copy protection when transferring saves? Would like to know beforehand.
