Real question lol. Is it maybe something that's encrypted or a file such as __sce_ebootpbp that's required? What exactly is stopping someone from placing an EBOOT with the correct file ID and editing the appmeta? Sorry if this is a stupid question haha

Usually when some one asks questions such as these on this website the devs and hackers tend not to answer.

Edit: I think you know why

For example a few days ago I made a thread on here asking what kind of security the ps vita uses for games and apps, in return I got no responses.

I'm pretty sure legitimate EBOOTs have to be signed to be able to work through pspemu.

You can actually sign unsigned EBOOTs using an EBOOT you actually bought from the PS Store, along with old tools and an old, outdated method.

Actually, I wonder if the old Rebirth Bubbles method could actually work again for a little while... Probably not; Sony might have acknowledged this and patched it in a later firmware.

That's kinda my point. If we've used eboots before and pspemu is out in the open then whats NEW in the Vita's pspemu Vs. the original PSPs structure? It doesn't seem too far out of the realm of possibility to edit the eboots and file structures to load our own psp or ps1 games within the vitas structure rather then going through something like ARK or TN-V
