So, I have a 10.3 OFW 3DS, and so far I used it flawlessly with no problems, only ever updating NVer, Friends Module and eShop to be able to play online. I access eShop through Homebrew Launcher -> HANS.
However, both the Demo of Monster Hunter Generations as well as the full game have one issue. It launches perfectly, I can play it no problem, but when I try to enter Home Menu the console just freezes and the only thing I can do is reset it.
So, my question is, is it because of too low firmware? Or is this some other issue?
EDIT:
Alright, so this is funny. After posting this I thought I may have to update my 3DS, so I went on to check if homebrew is possible on 11.0 and found that menuhax was updated to work with it. And what do I find there? That games which cause firmlaunch to get more memory (Smash, MH4U, MHX) will crash when entering home menu due to it. Turns out that indeed, MH4U is also crashing.
After removal of menuhax it now WORKS. So if anyone has this issue, I'd suggest using another entrypoint if they want to play those games without issues.
(could a mod put [SOLVED] in the thread title? This thread could help others at some point if they have this issue too)
