Inazuma Eleven: Ares game and anime announced

Level-5 has revealed its latest entry in the popular soccer RPG, Inazuma Eleven. The announcement at Level-5 Vision 2016 says that Ares will be getting both a game on 3DS, as well as an anime adapatation. The story is based on an alternate reality of the series, had certain events in the second game not taken place. It'll be hitting stores in Japan sometime next summer, and a European release is being considered, but with no estimated release date yet.

Soccer, and rpg? But H-O-W. O_O
sports and rpg don't mix

HOW can the company that help make the greatness that is ROUGE GALAXY Make this kind of stuff???????

My future is ruined. :ninja:

I assume you haven't yet followed the Inazuma Eleven series, no?

It's been long running series in Japan since 2008, and the video games have been localized for Europe (the first two entries on the DS, the Wii game, and the 3DS games) and recently for the US (A Nintendo e-Shop port based on the Japan-only compilation of the first 3 games, as well as physical releases of the Go series).

And I'm telling you, Level-5 did it well. Gameplay is solid. I, too was skeptical on how a Soccer + JRPG game would work at first, but y'know in Japan they tend to do crazy, "unique" stuff and sometimes it works out well for them.

I, myself am a fan and excited for this, Snack World, Lady Layton, and that mecha game.

Ummm played any of the games? Nope.

Watch first 3 episodes of the anime on nintendo network. Yes.
Watch 26 episodes of season one on hulu? Yes.

That is all i did and know about it. Besides that don't expect me to know anymore. Is basically Kids anime of Shaloin Soccer. :P

Or remind me of River City Soccer Hooligans. :D

Oh, excuse me for that.

But you should try the games, at least. You might find the gameplay intriguing and fun.

I dunno, sports games rpg, how?

When i think of sports, i like my over the top arcade action like NFL Blitz or NBA Jam. Or River City Soccer Hooligans or Super Dodge ball. :3

Now sports is kinda some tactical strategy game and where the action?

Yeah.... and I'll do that when i decide to do it.
just look at some reviews on youtube, you could've long since made up your mind if this was something that actually works for you or not instead of posting here.

as for the game. i'm not sure if they're doing themselves any favors by emphasizing what kind of crybaby the protagonist is in this series.

i also hope this isn't starting with a complete downgrade like when they moved from the original series to Go, where we had countless characters, teams and moves and then, that all went away in light and shadow.

You've never played it have you ? it's a PERFECT JRPG, instead of a traditional battle system you do Soccer battles with the touch pen

Probably won't get localized in NA like most Inazuma games . . . they either stay in japan or get EUR release since football (soccer) is very popular there.

To be honest with you...at the moment Inazuma Eleven is the only soccer game i play and the only one i said i have fun played. Spain love this series, unfortunaly italy not so much becouse they spand the time complaine about the fact "Oh is a Captain Tsubasa clone". But personaly i have fun with the title, i never look at Inazuma Eleven like a serius game becouse even Leve-5 admit is more like a parody for soccer anime/manga especialy when they introduce time travel, alien (spoiler there are not) and a gigant torunament in space.

But ehi if this game is for NX..maybe the NX will finaly be region free.

Yep, someone from Spain here. Hate "soccer" (called football here) but love Inazuma Eleven. I've finished all the games but Chrono Stones and Galaxy, which is not out. These games are incredibly fun to play, and its post-game is awesome.

I was a fan of inazuma until the fandom showed up as a big fujoushi trash and started to annoy me :/ I wanna see this video with sound later, if looks interesting I can give a chance but... stupid localization and bad fandom, is something that really keep me away of stuff x3x

A full game set in another dimension? Great. They even tease the old characters alternative versions in the last images (and the credits too I think?).
But I am still waiting for a european release of the final GO chapter.

even Level-5 admit is more like a parody for soccer anime/manga especialy when they introduce time travel, alien (spoiler there are not) and a gigant torunament in space.

That's what kept me in GO despite how far in the ridiculousness they went. Adding Stands (Jojo) and Clothes (St Seiya) to a Dragon Ballesque version of Captain Tsubasa was excitingly stupid.
